Its probably fine. From what I've seen, oil can seep out at the seal, and with nowhere to drain its gotta go somewhere. Drain oil and see how it does!

Mine was submerged in salty flood water for over a week's time, and stewing in muck for about a week after that. I hosed it out with water and then solvent. Afterwards I soaked the whole damn thing in motor oil for months until I was able to actually try to use it. I tried it out with Todd's encouragement, and its been on since 5er Fest '06 (six months) with no issues and no smoking. If it can go through that, I'm sure yours would be OK.

That is unless there was very high PSI and it blew something out...doubt it.

Too much oil pressure will cause oil to get past the turbo seals and burn. Install a restriction in the oil line going to the turbo. Do this by making a fitting that either bleeds (spring loaded pressure valve) excess back to the oil pan or a simple restrictor (easier) plate with a hole drilled in it. I wouldn't worry about too much oil pressure in the engine.

Don't restrict it! If you got the setup from TCD, there is no need to modify anything to make it work properly. The last thing you want is to restrict the oil flow to the turbo and burn it up! That type of pressure when cold isn't that out of line, especially with 20w50 oil. When the engine warms up, I'll bet it drops down to a more normal reading.

The thing WILL smoke for a long while afterwards because there is still a TON of oil in the exhaust system! If oil was coming out of the tailpipe, you've got a bunch of smoking to do before it clears out! It could still be buggered, but I'd say give it some time and see if it improves...

I got 15-40 in it now, And have oil pan off to check pump relief

I guess it couldn't hurt...I doubt you'll find anything though. Oil is probably seeping from several areas now because of the over-filled running time.

Dude, why do you think that you have something stuck in there? Have you run it to normal operating temps to see what the pressure is when warm? Those pressures are not out of line for a healthy cold engine...a bit high, but nothing to worry about.

I'm running 10w30 and oil pressure of at least 70 until it's warmed up, then about 35-45. Not that I'm an expert but those figures aren't all that out of whack.

well i am still blowing oil out exhaust . I guess i could send turbo to tcd and get rebuilt. Another thing is if i crank engine with dme relay outto build oil pressure it will not come up at all. If i start engine oil pressure comes right up.Does this make sense?

We're just going in circles here. Is the exhaust still full of oil and oil residue from the first run???

yeah . I didn't clean out pipes but have let it run for 5 or 6 mins at idle with heavy smoke. and 5 min drive with heavy smoke and at idle its much smoke for exhaust vents . If these press are normal turbo needs to go to tcd. TCD says press should be 20 at idle. But if yall run 65 psi through yours and doesn't leak then mine is bad.And have been chasing my tail.

If oil was dripping from the tailpipe, then that probably isn't enough time or temperature to burn off all that! Then again, if you got that much oil in the exhaust from being overfilled, something may have blown out.
