745i Intake Manifold (E23: 1981)

Post by FSAEracer03 »

Hey guys,

I just got a hold of a cheap 745i intake manifold from an '81 parts car. I was expecting it to have a smaller plenum, as a good turbo setup should have, but at first glance, it is the standard M30 3.2/3.5 manifold. Is there any difference I'm not seeing? If anything, I'm just going to spend a little time with it in the parts washer and resell it to someone who might need it... I might clean up the transition points on the flanges while I'm at it.

Any info on the matter will be much appreciated. Thanks!
