Turbo Question: Holset

I am looking for a holset turbo..the hx40

Just wanted to know if you guys knew of any sources besides ebay that you can get these turbos....

Looking for a diesel truck performance site...cant find anything in the local papers in regards to deisel mechanics.....but still looking


Wanted to know if anyone here knew of a source? Or of a good comparible..

I hate to say it but ebay is about the only place. Buy a new one on there for $500 and call it a day. I would stay away from anything "rebuilt".

Just from a dodge dealership or something?

The Holset HX40's come on Cummins ISC engines which is a medium duty diesel. I think they're used on buses quite often so you might have luck searching out a shop dealing with them. The ISC i found had a 17cm2 T4 turbine housing which according to the internets should be just about right for a 3.5L (12cm2 T3 Holset HX35's are good for the 2.5L M20 supposedly). I plan on using this turbo as it works out almost exactly to a Garrett GT40 82/88 based on wheel sizes and flow.
