Spanked a 944 Turbo...............surprised me

Post by Duke »

From a dead start at a light with him on my left. 1st gear was shitty, spinning and he got the jump on me. 2nd was spinning initially, caught traction and he was still with me. Third was solid and I started to drop him fast and then he let off. I was surprised that he kept with me as well as he did. Was another soldier, I will keep an eye out for him to see what modifications he has. I bet there are a bunch.

Was nice to run with another German sports car.

I gotta get the traction control working. Going with the 3.07 LSD too. That should make my first gear more usable.

It's certainly modified! 3.07 isn't going to help 1st gear. Nothing short of slicks will make the car hook up with full power.

10F and snowing here!

So, do you like pull up next to anything that says turbo and try to race it? What's next - a mid eighties LeBaron convertible?

I saw a video recently of a turbo K-car that ran a sub 10 in the 1/4. You can make ANYTHING fast, even a LeBaron.

Don't be a hater.

2500 rpm

I'd say "nice kill," but I might feel nauseous afterwards in retribution of my own kind....

What? You don't think those cars are hil-AR-ious - the way that rear end just sags - as if in a state of constant acceleration? It just seemed to me that when you see something is a turbo, you jump on it. No hating. 280ZX and a 951 - quite a difference.

Good luck with your next "kill." - I'm serious.
