Todays Kill.......2007 INFINITI G35 COUPE

Post by Duke »

Yep, another guy who thinks he's fast. A 2007 model.

Cliff notes - Turning left from a one lane to a three lane. Dead stop at light, G35 in front of me (1st car at light), me directly behind the G35.

Light turns green.......

1st - spin, 2nd spin-hook (WOT), we were even (he moved to the outside lane, I took the inside), 3rd - (WOT) dropped his butt in short order then he let off.

Why do all of these guys let off when they are beaten? What is really funny is that he was talking on his cell phone trying to act cool not looking at me while getting his smack-down.

Sorry about all of these wimpy (300 +/- HP car) kills. I cant find any good competition :bawl:

Man, where i live, my 130hp audi is enough to beat just about anybody off the line every time. Nobody seems interested in racing.

Which is good, since i'd lose every time.

I've taken on 350Z cars a few times. One looked like it had the track package. I run even with them with 9 psi of non-intercooled boost. Been up to around 130-140mph and he couldn't get away (which pissed him off, I was right behind him), but I know I couldn't have gone around him. The g35 is even heavier, you should bury those without any drama.

Duke, you're so weak. Killing a G35, a 280Z, etc. That's so, uh. . . ghey.

I had TWO, count 'em, TWO kills just today! I killed a Jeep Wrangler and a brand new F-150 driven by an old guy. I don't think either knew they were racing, but that's beside the point. The fact of the matter is, I was driving a 2006 Ford E-150 with the TRITON 5.4L V8! Neither of those guys had a chance. . .

Do you expect them to continue to flog the car and catch up to you for congrats? Why would anyone stay on throttle?

Shifty, you're killin' me.

Yea, I think you are right. It beats the hell out of the "ricer" flyby after they have been beaten and are then throwing a tantrum.

Brad - your truck is not that "ghey" Air Force tan that looks pink is it?

I'll tell you what though, that Triton V10 is one hell of a motor - the brakes and the steering suck in the vans, but that motor.
I got my only speeding ticket in one of those vans - it is embarassing how fast I was going - 99 in a 65 - that was me being an idiot.

I love racing old people - especially grandmothers with kids in the backseat of their Park Avenue. It gives me that clean, refreshing feeling I am someone - kicked their ass to 35mph! You wanna talk about tantrums? Those grandmas really don't take losing very well.

Oh come on!

Major Dizzuke:

First of all, it's not MY truck. The last time I checked, what's Uncle Sam's is Uncle Sam's and what's mine is. . . still Uncle Sam's.

Second of all, it's the ghey navy blue that all of our gov't-owned vehicular units are painted at this base.

Fifth of all, it was a van, not a truck.

Twelvth of all, I see the ANG flying Apaches every day at this base. It doesn't look so hard! ;)

One hundredth of all, did you notice that I just counted like you spell?

The vans with the V-10 can go 99? The ones on base have a governer at about 90 or 91.

I wouldn't know that from first-hand experience, though. I've just heard about it.

Our '05 Chevy Express 3500 van has the 6.4L (I think that's it) V8. THAT thing has some balls for a 15 Pak van! It goes at least 110, but again, I wouldn't know from first-hand experience.

Well, it was a '97, so no governor. I think I had it over 100 for a bit. The van was just so much smoother at that speed - steering felt better and no vibration like the 65-70mph "you're gonna die" vibration. It even slowed down nicely. That was easily the dumbest thing I have ever done, well next to removing my sunroof.
