Well after riding in Kyle's car I have decided that Mine is definitly going turbo......I have searched the forum and got a few questions answered, but I still have a few......
I have seen that TCD says they use a TO4E turbo with a GT35 compressor wheel....So what is the advantage of this setup vs a standard TO4E? Will a TO4E flow well enough to be put on our cars?
What other turbos have people used that worked, or think will work?
Anyone have any good links to sites that I can read up on? I would love to have the TCD kit, But before I break the news to my wife I want to have a full understating of the limits of the turbo, plus other options I would have with this setup. If the turbo was to give way say two years after it is on, and I need a Cheap temp replacement, What should I look for while I get the turbo rebuilt?
TIA

The turbo you describe is specific for my car and my HP desires. I don't know if that is what TCD is providing in "normal" kits.
Check out the Bimmerforums forced induction forum. There is days worth of reading there. Also get Corky Bells book and Street Turbocharging by Mark Warner

I would suggest Corky Bell's book, Maximum Boost. There are newer publications but I think Maximum Boost is the best I've read to explain pretty much everything.

Re: basic Turbo ?'s
We use T04E turbos with 3 different compressor wheel options on the m30. The 50trim, 60 trim and GT35R wheel. All are great wheels and very efficient. We typically supply the 60 trim wheel as it is great from 250-450rwhp. I'll use the 50 trim wheel for a sub 350rwhp car that has an automatic and no stall converter and the GT35R wheel for the plus 20psi crowd.rob535i wrote:
