745i Dyno Results

Results: 273rwhp/311rwtq
SPECS:

Stock everything but:

TCD wastegate with 1 bar spring
TCD chip
BEGI FMU

Just like I thought the k27 cannot hold that much boost. It peaks at 13psi early and then tapers all the way to 10.5psi.

Still a fun car with the 4.10LSD.

Is the line at the bottom of your dyno sheet A/F or boost? It is labeled A/F on the right??

And how about that E36?.....................huh...................huh,huh?

I wanna see the dyno sheets of those who claim 400hp.

This does go to show, the k27/745i setup is only good for low boost levels, otherwise, go another path

Son of a bitch . . . Todd's 745i makes more tq and hp than my car does. I need to get to work when I get home.

Todd, the AFRs look nice and steady, but a bit rich. How much you think you'd gain if it were closer to 12:1?

BEGI is on the very least amount of rise.

Duhhhhhhh....I did. It states Airfuel. The reason I ask is that the graph depicts what you describe the boost did "It peaks at 13psi early and then tapers all the way to 10.5psi".

I was wondering if you were referring to the graph. And thus the question.

Doubt yours are that rich since you inserted the washer. :D

You are most certainly correct. But I wouldn't call the shim a washer. That would be diminishing its' true size. I rather call it " the snail prod"

Yep. Hoping to build a k27 with a Garrett 60 trim wheel good for 480rwhp.

Todd,
Do you have the Tial wastegate adapter for the 745 available yet? Sign me up for one.

I see those #'s are SAE corrected. Can I ask what the correction factor is?

Sure.

It made 283/320 uncorrected.

276/312 SAE. So ~.98

Interesting, huh?

Todd,

Just saw the dyno numbers. That does not look right with 14PSI boost. If I recalled correctly the last 745i dyno I have seen from the 745i board was well over 325rwhp for 12 PSI.

I am waiting to get mine dyno'd if I can figure out how to get the Greddy E01 to work properly. The problem is the longer I wait the hotter it is out here in the desert.

Anyway, perhaps you have forgotten about it but I don't recall getting payment on the item I emailed to you. Drop me a line when you can. Maybe I can use it towards something you have.

Thanks.

I applied your credit towards the wastegate. Call me for a CC# if you want payment instead.

Afshin's car made about the same numbers at 14psi. The more important point is that my k27 wouldn't hold 14psi but only ~11psi.

I anticipate having the k27-60 available next week. The wastegate is going to take longer since my head of R&D is very busy!
