I think I'm going to sell the S2
Life has gotten pretty nuts over the past year, the time I have to devote to old cars has been dramatically decreased and I am spread too thin.
The car is not a show car by any means but is still a very clean example. I condiser it a daily driver and it is treated as such. It's no garage queen, has a few nicks here and there and while very nice it is not perfect.
This is a partial list of what's been done and I will probably forget a few things:
TCD S2 and related gear
MSD ignition (haven't gone MS yet....no time to put in)
b34 bottom end
b35 top end
MLS hg/ARP studs
fresh head/valve job
JE forged pistons
Auto trans (don't laugh, it hauls ass)
revaned converter
3.73 LSD
"1 piece" drive shaft
Grunt bushings all around
camber adjustable rear bushings
solid rear sub frame bushings
Bilstein sports/HR's
big honking sways on both ends, beefed up mounts
M5 steering box
Euro body conversion ......complete and done right.
E21 Recaro's
big brakes on both ends
tower braces front/rear
It's set at 12 psi right now. My wife drives it and has a heavier foot than I so I pulled it down. It's astonishingly fast even at that level so I've left it there. It handles quite well too.
As with any car there are issues and I can provide anyone with the list. It's not long and none are life threatening. The car is pretty well sorted out and is a reliable DD. It is a car that I love to tinker with but I don't have the time to do it justice and that's why I'm considering selling it.
If anyone is seriously interested, PM me. This is not a "must sell" situation so it's not going to be a giveaway. It is a very nice, extremely fast car for someone willing/able to keep it up the way it needs to be.

Car for sale
Hey Bill, I'm not exactly in the market for a car right now, cause I'm in the house market at the moment, but I might be for yours. What type money are you looking for and how quickly are you wanting to move it? Thanks.

I don't know that I'll replace it with anything that's going to be a project. My wife has taken over the Baur and under no uncertain terms am I allowed to sell it. It's a 4 wheeled crotch rocket now and I have to admit it's a blast to drive a 2200lb car with a couple hundred high revving ponies under the hood.
As to value, I honestly have no idea. I know what I put into it but that is pretty much irrelevant to what it's really worth. I'm working on assessing a dollar figure to it.
As to being in a hurry to sell it, I'm not. I just know that my time is going to become even more fragmented and the S2 will have to go to the bottom of the list. I can always build another one when time permits.

I let off at around 150. There was more there but I had no intention of finding out how much!Maddog wrote:Do you have any vibration in your driveshaft? How fast have you driven the car (top speed)?
I haven't done any top speed runs with the 1 piece shaft installed. I got it out of my system early on and I rarely go much over 100 these days. 0 to 100 is an outright blast and that's enough. Too much to lose and the desire to stay living for a while longer dictated this fact
