I know we have many local E28 groups and I thought we should have a place that lists all of them so they would be easy to find.

I manage the DFW E28 Yahoo Group. If you would like to be on our email list, send me an email(from the addy where you want to receive all our bs-ing) with "DFW Fiver" in the subject line and I'll send you an invitation.

If you have an email list for your area please post the contact info here.

PLEASE NOTE:
If you don't see info here, there may still be one nearby.
But start a new thread to ask, so people can find what they need here.

EDIT: I'm currently in the process of transferring this group's management to Dallas Larry. He hasn't been that active on this board but he is the junk yard king around here and has an amazing assortment of wheels. (refering to both the cars themselves and the wheels specifically) For now just follow the directions above and we'll get you set up.

Thanks,

dj

I manage the Rebel Yell 5ers list, which is geared to the Atlanta region.

If you'd like to join, follow the instructions set out in the link above, then PM me saying you've submitted a membership request and I'll approve your membership. Both of the "Join This List" buttons go to the same URL, so it doesn't matter which one you choose.

Note:

1) I must approve your membership request in order for you to become a list member; until I approve it, you will not be able to view or post to the list.

2) To send an email to the list, you must send it via the email address you signed up with. Alternately, you can log on to Topica and post a message directly to the list.

I manage the PDXE28 group, in Portland, Oregon. We meet once or twice a month, and usually have about 5 people show up. There are 21 people on the email group, most of whom have shown up to at least a couple meetings.

We have a yahoo group here, where we organize most of our meets.

I would like to join/start one in the San Antonio / (Austin?) area...

There is a BMW group here, but not 5ers... mostly newer stuff.

I live in gainesville, fl. I have seen more and more e28s ever since I got mine. Other than bmwgiant, i dont know of anyone else on the forum that lives in gainesville.

How's the Portland area? I have always liked the idea of living in the NW, but have never been.

Any official Seattle e28 group? There is already a BMW CCA SIG, but they don't seem to do anything.

There are a few of us!

We've got everything from a 518, to a pair of black over black M5's, M535i, several 535i's, a 535is, and even a 528e in the midst.

Nothing offically organised, but we're out there.

Is there a Los Angeles Club? I see plenty of e28 around that are beat up and are still running but every once in a while I'll see a clean one owner.

Yeah if there is any one in eastern PA pm me for a meet some time, the local promenade shops in Center Valley are a great place to meet up. There is always plenty of parking and exotics all over the place.

To Alpina 84 I met the President of the Vermont/NH chapter of BMWCCA. Really nice guy. I believe the club meets up around Burlington. I would expect to see some E28 people in the club. Also there has always been a large group of 2002 Owners in Vermont. One of the best restorers in the country is located someplace in Vermont.
The new member from Gainsville, Tim in North Florida lives in Gainsville. Our group of 5er owners in Florida is pretty active keep looking for a get together at the "bakery", it should be coming up as soon as the weather cools just a little. Also your FSC Chapter of BMW CCA is really active in the Tampa area.Come out to one of our events. send me your email and I'll get you on our listing. Thanks

I'm in St. Louis MO and the shop where I work has hosted indoor events for the Porsche Club and Mercedes Club...they would be agreeable to opening up the place for a couple of hours on a Saturday for a general BMW event, or a classic BMW event, not sure we could get enough E28's together to justify it though.
