Supercharged m20
Supercharged m20
Well here are some pics of my supercharger build I'm currently working on to dump on my 2.7i stroker. I'm using an Eaton m62 blower, at first I'm just going to have it set up for about 4-5 psi, then later bump that up to 7-8psi.
Any way's on to the pics
Started making mounts
Picked up some belts and made a tensioner for the supercharger belt
I've ordered items for making mounts to support the driver's side of the charger. If everything I've ordered like inter cooler piping, couplers etc.. shows up soon I plan to install it for real the weekend after this coming weekend

That's really neat. Where did you source that M62? It looks to have a shorter pully shaft. I was looking at SC off of a 3.8 Ford Thunderbird.
Also, have you been fabbing your mounts and outlet manifolds or have they come ready to install?
You might need to step up to a serpentine belt if you go to higher boost levels. These superchargers need alot of HP to run boost levels higher than the 5psi.

I fabed all the mounts etc.. the supercharger already had a fabed up round inlet on the back. I purchased the charger from a guy who had it on his e30, but his mounts etc.. where a total hack job so I scrapped them and started fresh. The blower is a gen 3 eaton m62. I'm starting out with only 4psi or so then latter will bump it up to 7~8 psi. Todd it's going into my 85 e30. Here are some recent pics of the charger all cleaned up and painted. I went ahead and tore it down and regreased the needle bearings and changed out the oil while I was at it.
I'm going to run a small intercooler in front of the ac-condensor to try to help keep the temps down(not much room in an e30 if you want to keep AC)

No the guy I purchased it from didn't have much info on it at all. He said it didn't work well on his car, but that's becuase he had the throttle body after the blower and didn't have any type of bypass valve etc.. to make it work that way. The car already has full megasquirt spark and fuel running on it.

Got the blower installed this weekend
But then had this happen after a 4th gear pull on the interstate with seeing about 4.2 psi
I ordered a new cast iron pulley instead of that one which was cast zinc, and it should be here tuesday. I'm going to double check the pulley alignment as I had noticed the pulley was getting very worn.
