DC91 (M5 euro) scam on ebay?

Post by Adam W in MN »

The sellers phrases are right out of all the Nigerian scammer ebay ads I've seen lately, like that M1 for $5K.
THE SUSPENSION IS MIND BLOWING AS ARE THE BRAKES
THE TRANSMISSION IS A DREAM
Do they teach all these guys the same b/s, describes-nothing phraseology in scammerschool? :?

Whose car is this really? Is it someone well known in the E28 M5 euro circle? Looks nice except for the wheels in my opinion.

Those exact same pictures were posted here some time earlier this year, although I don't remember who the owner is.

I would be interested in this car if it is for real. At this point, though, it looks pretty shady.

If anybody out there knows this car and owner, please get in touch with me. I have neither the time nor the inclination to deal with Ebay scammers but if this car is REALLY for sale, I would like to talk with the owner.

Thanks!!

This is the same exact thing that happened to my neighbor with an M635csi. Several months ago, while cruising eBay, I saw a car that was identical. While going through the photos, I noticed the reupholstered seat bolster which isn't a 100% match... the clue.

The photos were the ones used about 2 years ago when my neighbor originally purchased it. Both of us sent different complaints to eBay's fraud department and it was quickly removed.

That one must be gone now too. The link doesn't work.

Ebay is such a fraud generator. There should be swift and public consequences for it, but I don't think Ebay wants that kind of publicity, so they just cancel the ad and sweep it under the rug.
