engine options

Post by red535t »

And while I'm at it,another idea.I seem to be full of them at the mo.

I have a early 635 engine '80-81 from memory.
How do I tell (from the outside) if its the larger cc engine??

thinking, would it be possible to take out the crank and rods, and replace with a latter model crank/rods (e32,e34)?
that way having larger diameter pistons and a longer stroke=3600+cc??

slapping on a tidy e34 head with the early cam (270),APR's and MLS gasket.

just drained the motor to day, close to 20 lts of water/paste came out so it could even be a perfect block to be bored out for over sized pistons etc. ;)

Any chance this would work??
