I was just trying to figure out if it was possible to to keep all of the pictures big when I open a thread? Right now when they load they are big then they are shrunk and I have to click them to get the bigger original size. Any help would be nice.
I don't think there is anyway to change it. The JavaScript code changes the picture size automatically so that the thead width doesn't suffer from oversized pictures. The only downfall I see with it is that the loading time is longer.
Trust me, you don't want them to stay huge when you are reading the posts. It makes the text lines stretch as wide as the pics are, which means you will be using the bottom scroll bar constantly.
For resizing pictures, Irfanview is your friend. It's a great little FREE photo program. It bills itself as a photo viewer but has some editing in it too. You can resize a pic in it literally in 10 seconds or less, including opening the program. I've got a bunch of photo editing software, and it is the one I use 99% of the time. I should be a salesman for it except it's free.

Microsoft Powertoys for the win. Select picture file, right click, hit Resize, select resolution, hit OK. Done. Do a whole directory in under 30 seconds.
