jeebus wrote:ldsbeaker was an excellent buyer/seller. I had some Ground Control coil overs that I wanted to trade for something "softer". ldsbeaker had some Bilsteins that he gladly traded plus some cash. I ended up having a bad GC strut and he still wanted to trade me (for less money obviously).

We both removed our suspensions and shipped on the same day. Everything went SUPER SMOOTHLY. He paid me in full, he shipped out everything I expected, etc. I would DEFINITELY do business with him again.

Good guy, good transaction, A++
Ditto, right back at ya! For once, I found one of those awesome deals that I could not pass up. Now my car can be SLAMMED, on a budget!!
Easy, smooth transaction. Excellent communication.
Thanks!

Wkholer/BlkBmw - fair pricing, perfect communication and Timely shipping.
Steve Haygood- exceptional knowledge, fair pricing and good follow-up.
Paul LeDuc- very helpful, resourceful and all around good guy to know.

Passed emails with JoshinAtl and Skip535- both have great communication and wouldn't hesitate to buy from either one.

Can't remember the other two, but transactions went well.

krhodes1: I bought a moonroof frame / water channel piece from him a few months ago. Great guy to deal with. He packed it very carefully and it was just as he said. Would definitely buy from him again and highly recommend him to anyone else.

Prussian Motors
I bought the center console grill off of them for $20. There ended up being a blister on the plastic next to the cigarette lighter. It was hard to see on the photo, but evident when I received the piece. I looked at the photo after receiving the part and that's when I noticed the blister, so, technicaly, it's my fault.
I sent them a short email saying I couldn't use the piece, but I also took fault for not examing the photo better.
This is their reply:

No problem Fred. My customer service philosophy is to treat others how I would treat myself. Odd for a "junkyard", I know. I insist on sending you a $10 paypal refund. I usually only sell damaged stuff like that for $5.
Thanks
-Merritt

I was more kicking myself than complaining to them. They still gave me a partial discount even though I didn't send the piece back.
It's nice dealing with good honest people.
Now who has the center console grill to sell me?lol

Wkohler- He's not just a parts guy, he's a bottomless font of info, stand up comedian and must have every junked BMW in North America at his disposal. Oh and his parts come with hand holding and instructions.

Badger- Did a great job packaging and shipping those heavy awkward, e28 power sport seats. Thanks

MisterFixit - If you need taillight and/or headlight upgrades you gotta talk to him. Fast, reasonable and free with his knowledge

Unpleasant, attempted purchase with canyoncarver. My money was refunded, to be fair, but this was not a good experience.

Steve Haygood rocks! But you already knew that . . .

Post by BMWCCA2 »

Yesterday I went to a neighbor's house to help him with his '74 3.0CS. He's getting on in years but I've been helping him with this car since he first stumbled into my store on a Saturday in the rain over twenty-five years ago, coming from Atlanta in the CS. The wiper motor had died. Against his wishes, I got him one out of a Bavaria from a local salvage yard that afternoon and installed it for him. Its still working today. So began our long friendship. Now he's my neighbor.

He only drives the coupe up and down his long farm driveway, due to medical issues, but the other day the clutch pedal dropped to the floor. He always assumes the worst but I went over yesterday afternoon and pulled the leaking slave cylinder. The owner checked on-line with the usual BMW sources but got some conflicting information about what parts fit his car. So I called Steve who figured others might fit but he showed the correct one for only ten-bucks more than the questionable part numbers, so I told him to send it. He called me back around 2:30pm that same day (yesterday) to update my credit card information and at 9:50am this morning the part showed up at my door via UPS Ground delivery.

Right part, right price, always good advice, and you couldn't ask for quicker delivery.
And, as Steve continues to remind me, he can get parts for anything, "From Acura to Volvo".

Wkohler sold me a fusebox cover that is bangin'! Even better than he described and, my friends, is what it is all about.

Mike in Seattle sold me a heater blower motor and included the cages with it without me even having to ask!

Both are great sellers and I will buy from them again if the need arises!
