Craigslist deal of the century, OT E39 wheels

Post by Adam W in MN »

I sent this to a few folks (Ron Perry and Justin in FL) and posted on the E39 section of bimmerforums, but since I know you guys better....... I had to share my good fortune.

Here's a pic of my new 2003 E39 540i sport 6spd that I got last Saturday. 61k miles, love the car, replacing my E34 that is going to Mr. Tammer from mye28.

It's funny though, I think I got more jacked up about the crazy wheels that I scored on craigslist while surfing during a slow period at work shortly after making the deal on the 540i! These were on craigslist in Indianapolis, E39 fitment centerbore and correct offsets, guy had them on a 2001 540i and sold the car.

:alright: :D

They are 19" BBS RS-GT's, which after reading up on Tirerack's website, are pretty insanely light for a 19" wheel (even lighter than the almighty BBS LM's). And I got them for........ $1500!! With shyte Kuhmo tires with about 1 summer left on them, but still. These are about $1100 EACH for wheels only.

I had to sell my beloved 18" Style 32's as well as the original M-Parallels from this 540i sport I bought in order to finance purchasing them...... (which I felt terrible about doing), but holy shit, BBS RS-GT's..........

I can't wait for warmer weather. I think I need to buy some wheel locks!

Great-looking car, Adam! Can't wait to check it out in person (mostly 'cause that means I'll be driving away in the Touring, but I do want to see those BBS up close too).
