Hey all;

I want to install the sockets from the US front bumper in my euro front turn signal housings (ala JBort) so I can have running lights and turn signals. But I can't seem to remove the sockets from the platic housing. They turn in the housing, and there's a very small notch in the lip, making it appear that if you line up the notch you can just pull them out. But to no avail. Do I have to pry them out? I don't want to damage them in the process. Sounds like a nit-picky question, I know.

I believe what you need to do is remove the entire assembly from the front bumper first, a bit of a PITA but the bolts are accessable. I forget the size but there are two nuts that hold it in, remove them (spray a bit of pentrating oil first) then disassemble the sockets while out, I think that is the only way to take them apart.

Unless you already have them out, in that case .. ignore my reply .. (just re-read your post .. seems like you may have them out already)

Percussive removal is the key. They are force fit in about a half inch and hitting the socket with a drift will get em out.
