After replacing the 02 sensor in my '87 535is, I took it for a test drive. When I attemtped to signal a turn, something few people do here in L.A., I heard what sounded like the door buzzer going off. Can that possibly be related to the 02 sensor replacement? I mean, maybe my not disconnecting the battery when I replaced the sensor fried something? I've had these switches go before but never exhibiting this symptom. Any ideas, other than next time disconnect the battery to be on the safe side? Thanks.

I'd like to submit my name for the "Bonehead of the month award". After purchasing a relay, I tried to remove the steering wheel in order to access a couple of the screws for the column trim. That steering bolt makes me feel very secure that it's never going to loosen on its own. There was no way that I could get that thing off by myself. Then I started thinking (Better late than never, in this case) that I may not have driven the car after I'd replaced the lights in my OBC. I said to myself "Self, is there any way that I could've connected something improperly at the OBC, Emergency Flasher, or Rear defroster?" I decided to check it out. I looked in Bentley and saw that I had the wrong colored wires going to the flasher and defroster. Once I looked at the spade connectors, I saw that I'd reversed them for sure. Well, that was it. Nice move huh? I honestly didn't think that they'd be interhchangable. Wouldn't you know.
