Reading Hieroglyphics is not my strong point, the instructions that come with them truely suck ass! I bet these guys really got a good laugh when they put the instruction sheet together. Anywho, I didn't know that these were oil filled dampers. The instructions show adding some type of fluid to the strut housing, 50ml. I am assuming you fill with an oil? What kind? Also, there are two large plastic discs in the package with the nuts that screw on the tops of the dampers that hold the assemblies together. The instructions do not show a real clear picture of these plastic discs but look like maybe they are slid down the damper shaft before the springs are put on? One last piece that I'm not sure of is a metal ring that fits on top of the strut just below where the shaft comes out (OUch! talk dirty to me!) of the strut, is this left on when assembled or is this packing material?

Thanks for any help !@#$ :@ :D

I believe you can use coolant for the housing. The plastic rings are packing material IIRC. Not sure about the metal rings; I'd have to get home and look at the pics on that computer (if I remembered to snap any of the assembly order).

I wondered about those metal rings when I put konis in my e30. Right now the rings are sitting in my desk drawer, 2 years later no ill effects.
