We don't actually have a "BMW parts for sale" section, so problem solved. Besides, 1 thread out of about 40 on the first page isn't much of a problem to begin with.

I haven't ever thought that was a problem and don't see the need for an additional for sale sub-forum.

We need to add a special section, sub-forum for each and every different item being discussed, sold, bought or whatever. break down the tech files to the different sections of the BMW numbering system for the car parts and repairs so that those that know can absolutely slaughter anyone who happens to post in the wrong section. Make this forum even easier to use and much more enjoyable for those posting incorrectly or needing a morning jolt of chastising of that poor slob.

Just think with all these extra sub-forums, it would take hours to keep up to date on mye28 comings and goings.

Let's get a list of sub-forums needed in the for sale section and the new wanted to buy section!!!

How about electronics and we can break that down to computers, phones, cameras (digital only now, we'll have a special section for the valuable collector gear that uses film) and on and on. This could be fun, scrolling through 5 pages of sub-forums to get to the three forums that contain the information one might be looking for on a particular day.

I cannot stand the "structure" of BimmerForums. If I ever need a reminder of why too many sub-forums are "bad", please just PM me a link to them.

I hope that won't be necessary though, I don't particularly like lots of sub-forums to begin with.

Seems that most forums I have hit are like that... vwvortex, bimmerforums, vadriven, allmetalforums, the list goes on.

Too much BS for a leisure website, I say.

I guess I must be crazy to think that the "for sale/wanted-parts" section on a dedicated BMW site would be free of yard sale nick knacks that have nothing to do with any BMW, period. Chastising people on the internet is not how I get my morning jolt, which is exactly why I didnt crap on that guys thread about a computer for sale. If my suggestion is no good... thats fine and I can live with that, but dont crap on me to get your rocks off. Having authority on the internet doesnt mean dick in reality.

I don't see what's so hard to deal with in having a single for sale forum. Yes, most people sell BMW specific parts, but occasionally there will the the "random" item. The quantity of these really doesn't warrant an entirely new forum. I wouldn't get too bent out of shape over peoples responses. And as for authority on the internet, if someone has it, then that is the reality for that given site or message board. And yes, sometimes it sucks.

I just can't believe you would want to sell something like that on a car forum. Geez.

jw767, if you'd taken the time to look through the Comments sub-forum, you'd see we've gotten numerous requests for new sub-forums. We're simply not interested in creating another sub-forum to appeal to one or a few people's needs. We don't really care if Joe Schmo wants a sub-forum for meet-ups of left-handed, right-hand-drive 528i owners in Billings, MT.

No reason to get all butt-hurt. No one "crapped" on you. They just said no...and with good reason.

"Fact is" that nobody agreed with you on your premise. Did you suggest some other improvement that folks outwardly agreed with, or did we somehow miss that?
