Unaffiliated cars for sale

Not sure if I missed it, but did the policy revert back to the wild wild west format we used to have?

I suspect it has. Maybe 'the still-untamed west' is a more correct term. ;)

We have decision makers here on the board? I must have missed the notification about that decision.

I gave up on that idea. The forum had already largely reverted to its previous state, and I felt that bringing a heavy hand to the issue was counter-productive for all involved.

So yea, our classifieds remain largely untamed, as Krieger said.

It was a worthy effort. It is hard to draw a line between relevant "heads up, this BMW is worth checking out" posts to timewasting drivel. I still would recommend a policy against fly-by posts with just a link that will expire later such as eBay and craigslist. If it is worth the board's time to consider it the poster should make the effort to copy and paste some details.

Agreed; the links to CL ads don't tend to last long. A screenshot would be a nice alternative, but can be a little cumbersome.

Any further consideration given to a separate section for NA ads? That idea seemed to have some traction with some.

The issue of changing how and where things go in our classifieds isn't entirely dead, just that particular idea wasn't working out the greatest. I'll continue to think on it, we'll see what demented process my brain brings forth next.

I really despise having lots of sub-forums, so that things involving that has trouble getting traction in my head. ;)

Is there a way to make expiring NA posts? Like make them only hang around for a few days when there are no further responses?

Not without applying that same "expiration" rule to the entire subforum. I tried that once, wow did I catch hell for it.
