I'd really, really like to get down there for this. I can barely plan my life 2 weeks out let alone 2 months. I'll be just back from a week in NYC so I'd REALLY like to get down to Austin for this.

Would love to... My brother in law just flew in here from Austin last night & said it was 70° when he boarded. We'll be lucky to hit 35° tomorrow, and Sunday's expected high is 7°. That's Fahrenheit.

I can't make it. The Mrs. is pregnant with twins, and has been instructed not to travel. Also, I'm probably going to the Cotton Bowl, and will use my kitchen pass for that. Ya'll have fun!

Hey Sherman, I'll definitely try to be there.

OT: I didn't know you had a 380SL. Is it a timing chain injury? I wanted an SL my whole life until I actually drove one. Decided to stick with BMW after that.

Well, I'm only about 2K away, but still it's way too far. Sounds like fun, but... Like Real Estate, location, location, location.

DATE CHANGE, see first post.

All right, here's the first bit of info.
More will follow...

The date has been changed from Sunday 01-30-2011 to Sunday 02-06-2011, one week later.

Here's why;
We are wanting to use Austin's Coffee and Cars as our jumping off point.
Last year, at least, it was held on the last Sunday of each month.
Rechecking their website, after posting this thread, I find it's been changed to the first Sunday, thus what you see above.

The C&C goes from 11:00 to 2:00.
We won't be hanging out for the whole thing.

We want to meet at 10:00 AM so we can park and display our cars together.

Area Road Monkeys, it's time to get to work planning the routes from your fair cities.
You'll find the address on their website.

Attendees, this change will give you one more week to prep your cars to "Show and Shine".

It'll be a full fun day... :haul: . See ya there.

I'll deal with it either way.

P.S.
Posted the link on the Houston BMWCCA site.
No need to respond in both places, as it'll upset our headcount.

1st choice will be the ///M5 (it's maiden excursion under my ownership).
Gotta get it street legal and a couple of under-the-hood items freshened up.

2nd would be the E12

If all else fails I'll be in the eta.

Hey Memo,
Post a pic of the box.
You know, the gray box.
Wet their appetites for showing up with a clean,
not only meaning spotless, car,
or will it only be for a 5er?

Yo Sherman, I was noticing on the C&C site that all the cars there are apparently "Perfectimundo", as Wkohler puts it.

So I was a wondering, do they have space for a road warrior type or am I just fixin' to drive 1000 miles to embarrass myself? :dunno:
