Order a steel blank and get it cut from one of your brass keys or if you want it perfect, from the driver's side door lock.wkohler wrote:I whitened my car by removing the pinstripe. Also had a couple more brass keys cut for it since I can't actually get a real key because it's a Euro car.
What did you do to your E28 today?

Jump started the 533, let it run for a bit while it tried to dry out the inside. Apparently not enought to charge the battery Jump started it again, let it run, still not enough for it to start on it's own. Then promptly broke the vent control knob while trying to open the floor heat
I've got to: fix whatever is leaking, and properly charge the battery or replace it. and, fix the heat controls and glovebox latch
Both e28s now have chrging/battery issues

Ordered a trans support, as mine is missing the bolt holes , trans mounts, clutch master to slave cyl hose, and some e23 hood struts, so I can ditch the piece of wood that's been supporting the hood/getting in the way.

Do the e32 struts really make a difference? I've heard they were longer, but by how much? does it make the engine bay that much easier to work in?slammin_e28 wrote:Ordered a trans support, as mine is missing the bolt holes , trans mounts, clutch master to slave cyl hose, and some e32 hood struts, so I can ditch the piece of wood that's been supporting the hood/getting in the way.

Honestly IDK. I read somewhere they were longer, and through my work they were cheaper than the e28 struts, so I figured, why not? We will find out tomorrow. Anything has got to be better than non-functional struts.Mr.ProjectCar535 wrote:Do the e32 struts really make a difference? E32 hood struts will allow you to open your hood about 12".

E23/24 hood struts allow you to open the hood further than the stock ones.

Good deal! Please post your findings, if they do in fact make a big difference I might just pick some up as well. Maybe before/after pics if that's not too much to askslammin_e28 wrote:Honestly IDK.
