PROBLEM Delayed braking reaction.
Solution: Brake Bomb (Hydraulic Pressure Accumulator) Fails and no longer supplies adequate reserve pressure to hydraulic bake booster for master cylinder.
How do i know? Have had it on my car, and it is a dangerous state to have your car in. It feels like it could put you through the window on braking after the initial delay.
DIFFICULTY: Rather easy, no special tools required, but be wary not to damage the the fixed / solid hydraulic line nuts while removing. Best approach is to remove the while unit with regulator, and install new Bomb on the bench (also replace pressure switches if leaking). Be sure to de-pressurize your power steering system by pumping the brake 20 times before starting. Best to refer to a workshop manual like a Haynes or Bentley... actually the Haynes tells you nothing.
