Oh, if you just want the light and not the whole spoiler, it is no problem. The bulbs are soldered to a board, though, so you can't really replace them easily. I thought you wanted the entire spoiler assembly which is glued to the glass.

For sure I want:

1. Front Kidney Grilles - $15.00
Be a bit more specific please. Are you just wanting the center chrome finished parts, or the whole assembly?
I'd rather sell it complete.
>> I just need I believe the chrome kidney grilles and the backings. Kidneys are two piece I think. It appears someone 'punched' them out and stole them. I have the holes just sitting there, waiting for grilles, but there is a hunk of plastic behind it. Some sort of rear kidney bezel, I am just not sure.

2. Driver side front bumper light - the small horizontal light in the bumper. $5.00
OK
>> I need both sides, actually. both my side bumper lights are gone. Make is 10 for the pair?

3. The main electrical console where the radio is. You know, the one with the OBC with AC/Heating/switches/fan controls that accepts the single-DIN radio. That whole unit minus of course the radio but including the black trim on each side. My AC seems to not work (AC) and the defrost button doesn't do shit. I haven't even checked fuses, but pricing it out anyway. - $50.00
Along with all the other items this will work.
>> OK sweet. Thanks.

4. Front highbeam passenger side - mine is broken... $5.00 please include bulb?
$25.00 including bulb.
>> Deal.

5. Fog light bulbs only? I might have a broken fog but I just need bulbs if you'd throw them in. New are 5 bucks? - $would you be kind to throw these in?
I'll throw in both for $5.00.
>> Deal. How much if I wanted the fog lights as well if they are in good shape and not spoken for? One of mine has a little crack. Looks good, just a little crack. Just price checking.

6. Cupholder unit and cupholder trim and trim around cigarette lighter if it's wood. - Perhaps this isn't the cupholder, is it an ashtray? No cupholder? What covers the cigarette lighter and is just to the right of the cig lighter? Looks like a cupholder or something to me but it isn't installed on mine any longer.
No cupholder.
>> I am trying to be specific. The thing below the radio that pulls out. I think it covers the cigarette lighter. Is it a change tray or ash tray? I want that item if you are willing to part with it. I am clear no cupholder.

7. Glovebox shocks? maybe? hah mine appear to be gone. - $5.00 - could you please include screws?
One shock and one strap $5.00 with hardware.
>> Deal.

>> 8. Please call or e-mail me or PM me, and there is one more piece I am looking for... Between the lower foglights it appears I am missing a grille piece. Is there a black grille piece between the fog lights? Mine looks as it there was one there, but it's a bit of a empty hole now. Please call me at 4252468197 cell and I will respond, send pics, and send PayPal or a check/money order ASAP. Thank you so much sir!

Oh, I need one last item. It's a weird request. I need the stock wiring harness plug that goes from the radio (the large black plug) cut with a nice long pigtail. The guy who I bought mine from cut the freaking connector off. I have a radio, with a wiring harness made up, but the damn connector is going to have to be spliced together unless I splice your plug on. The P.O. doesn't think he has that piece. I don't know what a chopped up radio harness would command. I need just that piece and a pigtail of wires. I assume this would be a reasonable priced item due to the fact that I only want it for ease of use. I will splice color-to-color to my cut harness and then plug into my new deck and voila, I can enjoy some music.

Thanks again. I am ready to pay you the full sum and confirm on all parts tonight. :)

I'll have to pull the car out a bit to get back there an look, I'm pretty sure it's there but just want to be sure.
If it's there it'll be yours.
I'll shoot you a PM tomorrow evening after I have time to look.

* The big brake light at the top of the tailgate
Just as a heads up, this part is a PAIN IN THE ASS to remove. I don't know how TCD managed to sell me one that didn't get destroyed during removal. My advice is to buy the whole piece of glass if Sherman will sell it.
Wait, is there something different about removing the lamp with wiring vs. just removing the lamp/circuit board? I re-soldered new bulbs to my CHMSL board and it was a piece of cake to get the lamp housing in and out. What am I missing?

Sherman: I claimed dibs on the map light, but Kohler shipped me one gratis (thanks again, Chris!) so I am all set.

Interesting....I have several bad bulbs in my big brake light and that's why I'm interesting in getting another one....I'm assuming that a replacement won't have a bunch also burned out. Sounds like I should take a look at just replacing the bad bulbs since Tammer says it's a piece of cake....am I right Tammer?

Danny
Yes, IF your glass hatch opens.

Also, the factory bulbs are friggin' expensive. I went ahead and replaced all 24 because I was missing several and in PA, they all have to work. I got a good deal through a good parts guy and it still set me back over $75. Blue Shadow helped with the soldering (the bulbs are soldered directly to a circuit board), as the piece is small and and extra set of hands to hold things is helpful. He's also much better with a soldering gun than I am.

Removal of the light is cake, from memory:
1) pop glass hatch
2) there are two slotted screws holding the lamp housing in place.
3) once those screws are out, you need to pop the housing down and out. I think I put a small screwdriver into the screw holes and gently pushed down/out until the housing slid free.
4) disconnect connector.
5) several small screws hold the back of the housing to the red plastic lens. Remove them.
6) separate the lens and housing. The board with the bulbs soldered on can now be GENTLY removed.

Greg E34's got dibs on the glass, let's see if he wants to separate the light.

Code: Select all

If it's available, I am interested in the brake light if the bulbs aren't burned out. Mine has several burned out and I'm trying to avoid soldering new ones in.

* The rear wiper motor & arm
The arm is not the original.

Code: Select all

I have a problem with my tailgate wiper usually not parking down when I turn the wiper off....I must turn it on and off several times to get it parked right. I'm guessing it's motor related...any ideas? I don't really need the arm.
* The tool kit housing....the entire assembly
Including tools? Don't think they are all there.
If it's color specific, I'd have to look, it goes to the local buyer of the complete interior.
I'll compare against our Black/Tan this evening.

Code: Select all

The right hand hinges on my tool kit housing are broken and I'm looking for one that doesn't have any broken parts. I don't need the tools. My interior is black and I'm not sure if the tool kit housing it the same for all interior colors.
Please let me know if any/all of the items are available and what you want for them.
You get the honor of making the offer.

Thanks.

Code: Select all

I don't have any ideas what these parts go for used so I would ask what your would want for each of them assuming they are available.

Still interested?
$10.00

Yes, I can practice my soldering and hopefully repair it.

* The rear wiper motor $25.00

Does the wiper park where it should when turned off?

Any damage to the housing and hinges? Mine has gray carpeting what color is on yours? I would prefer not to have to deal with swapping carpet but will if necessary.

Thanks.

How much would shipping be to zip 22727 for all of it?

Thanks,

FINAL BUMP

If you spoke but didn't act, it's too late.
The guys who wanted the interior decided to take the whole car, well what's left of it, and resurrect it.

A final :thanks: to those of you who bought the parts you did.
I now have all the funds necessary to underwrite The Vintage and RTT trip this year.

The trick will be to hold on to it for the next 66 days. :|
