Nothing says I wanna spend the rest of my life with you like a honeymoon hog hunt.

I'm sure it went like this:
Him: Honey we're going to Florida for the Honeymoon
Her: That sounds good where in Florida? Miami? Key West?
Him: It's a surprise......do you still have that camo teddy I bought you for valentine's day....have you ever had fresh bacon?

Welcome to the "other half" of Florida, eh? Thanks for pointing out to the rest of the world, John, that Florida is not just about sunshine, fishing, watersports, beaches, flashy South Florida living, boat people, and the Daytona Speedway (NASCAR). We have just as many "rednecks" here as there are in other parts of the country. In fact, when I moved to Gainesville, I was floored by the "quality" of redneck that exists here in north central Florida. I thought the rednecks inhabiting the area where I grew up (Northwest Georgia and nearby Tennessee) were prototypical....boy was I ever wrong. ~0 :~ ~_~
Just realized that the folks running the wild-boar guide service are probably of this ilk and attract their brethren (and sisteren) down this way for some "good ol' redneck eco-tourism". BTW, TCD was right about the "sisteren" accompanying the mighty hunters...especially the one in the second photo down... :p Nice!
BTW, not trying to be disparaging to "rednecks"...hell, I was born in Moultrie, GA into a farming community, lived on a dairy farm before I got "cityfied and edgycated". I've done my fair share of bass fishin', cane pole fishin', deep sea fishin', trout fishin' (after I was cityfied) and even attende a tractor pull or two but never done no huntin'...except fer quail and rabbit. Yeehaw!

I'd be the one hanging on a hook if I tried to take Eve hog hunting for our honeymoon! I'm lucky she is a good sport about 5erFest being part of the honeymoon.
Some of my younger brothers buddies are some good old Florida rednecks, I hung around a bit with those guys in my youth, but I was more interested in sports cars and girls than hogs and gators. There is some quality entertainment to be had with that crowd, however. There is nothing those guys won't do, especially with a good dose of liquid courage. My brother took this beast with a crossbow this past season, shooting from his airboat.

Daryl,
That's a great photo.....who are those folks?
Was that taken recently?
Best,
Tim
ps.
For the record, I wasn't trying to be disparaging of hard workin' decent country folk.
It is the ones who drink ETOH and drive, molest or impregnate their cousins/sisters/farm animals/etc., drive like fools on two-lane roadways, put "Racin' stripes on their Ford pickups", put his 'n her NASCAR stickers on their pick-up trucks, put the stickers of the mischievous pisser on their cars/trucks (e.g., "piss on chevy/ford/dodge"), put "running lights" on their vehicles (or neon anything), allow their children ride motorized vehicles beginning at age 3 without supervision or proper safety gear (read "helmet"), go huntin' while intoxicated (or to justify "gettin' drunk"), live like animals in "candominiums" (aka DWMHs and SWMHs) with vehicles on cement blocks all around the house that I have a problem toleratin' ~_~
