Parting out '85 528e

Post by 1st 5er »

It's this car and I've listed some of the INDIVIDUAL PARTS FOR SALE here and here.
If you don't see what you want, just ask.

I finally got the "5 speed swap" pulled and ready to make the journey to The V for delivery to it's new owner.

Shipping? You'll tote that note.

Here's some parts ready to deliver:
Head, newly rebuilt $300.00
Plug Wires, 8MM from TCD last fall, RED, $85.00
Cap and rotor, $30.00
Oxygen sensor $15.00
Window glass (tinted) $30 each or $100.00 for the set small scratch on front driver glass.
Center console; shifter surround / manual seat e-brake cover $25 each or $40.00 for the set
Door lining caps uncracked, w/ tabs, you supply the JB Weld $25 each or $80.00 for the set
C pillar covers, Polaris respray $10.00 each
Door cards, Taurus, no tears could use re-stretching in a place or two, $15.00 each or $50.00 for the set
Armrest, door, $10 each or $35.00 for the set
Window motors, with or without the arms, $40.00 each Passenger Front SOLD, three remaining.
Moulding, window, chrome strips inside and out at the bottom of the window, $5.00 each piece clips included.
Switch, mirror exterior, $15.00
Mirror, passenger side $30.00
Coolant Reservoir w/ Cap $30.00
Door handles, passenger side, $7.50 each

Plenty more - just ask... pleeze!

If is a bunch of parts, or heavy and it'll fit in a USPS Flat Rate priority box, that's the way it'll come.

All those other parts you wanted that sold cheap in some other thread that you missed out on,
well you're getting another chance.

I'll respond here and PM you my address for mailing a Money Order, sorry but I don't do incoming PayPal.
Western Union will work as well if you want quicker service.

If you need to see a pic or know condition, ask in the thread, I'll respond accordingly.

Everything on the car functioned prior to the accident.

Some of the sold stuff, from this car;
All the 5 speed associated hardware
Spare tire holding ring and cap
Alternator
A/C fan
Heater fan
Turn signal lens covers, front
Door handles, drivers side
Door glass felt guides
Mirror, driver's side

P.S.
I also have a couple of other parts cars if there's something else your interested in.
But I'm mainly interested in stripping this thing down to a shell, cutting it up, and hauling it off to the yard, ASAP.

Rims are still good.
They impacted nothing solid during the incident, no curbs in the area.

How about $150.00, which is 50% off a previously advertised price + shipping?

Don't think I can squeeze them into a USPS Flat Rate box, but I can go by a tire store and get boxes to ship them in.
Not sure what the shipping cost will be, but maybe somebody who's been there done that will chime in with some real time info.

Wanna make me :D ?

Pick out enough parts from here and the E34T part out
so I can just swap you for the S38 throttle linkage repair kit at The V.
Or, better yet, another set of Moosehead Eng. UCABs too.

I could use the door sill strip, grey with the chrome stripes from the left side driver's door opening. Also a mirror motor - not real familiar with this part, meaning I don't know if I need the whole mirror or if a motor is simple enough to pull. This is as close I came to clarity: http://www.realoem.com/bmw/showparts.do ... g=51&fg=10 Now that I think about it further, maybe the switch is bad, allowing only one side to be adjusted from it.

How much for these parts? PM me or post here, thanks.

Can't believe I missed this (been on vacation so to speak). I don't need anything, but sorry to hear about your misfortune :( I'll see if my brother needs anything for his eta.

PS: Not that he needs any endorsement, but Sherman's a straight shooter and won't give you any fuss.

It's good, but may be sold.
I'm sure I have another anthracite carpet though in good condition.

Come on down!

Did you see the pic where the back frame got slightly bent in the accident?

If you did and you still want it send me a PM and we'll work out the details.

They are manual seats, FYI.

Apparently I didn't pay attention to much detail when I looked at those pictures.
What about the driver? Is it straight?

It is straight, but the accident turned a couple of the leather cracks into tears.
And, If you'll look closely at the pictures you'll see that the drivers front at the bottom ripped as my calf caught on the front edge as the bolts ripped through the floor.

I can just as easily remove the passenger leather and send it to you and you can install it on your frame.
Much cheaper shipping that way.

I'm not really looking for something super nice. I saw the tear in the driver seat. I need something to replace my passenger sport seat because a weld broke inside and now the back can't hold itself up.

Could I get a quote on the driver seat?

The passenger seat back will probably straighten up and be OK, if you want me to try that, I will.
If it does, $35.00 + shipping and it's yours.
Driver's seat as is, $20.00 should cover my time to pack it up
and get it to the shipper, + shipping.

PM incoming.
