Why not both?
I know Jen loves to drive.
Jacqueline, not so much, otherwise, we'd bring the T too.

P.S.
Are those room reservations made yet?
I'll update the list too with one more I got an email from who's made his reservation already.
Friendly reminder that rooms are limited at the The Host Motel, the Blanco County Inn,
and the back-up, the Swiss Lodge is limited as well.
Between the two there were originally only 23 rooms available, IIRC.

Looks like we just have ourselves some "out of state company" this year. :alright:

We'd better get busy tuning and cleaning.

And to set the record straight...

I will be there at some point. Not sure when I will arrive but I will be there. Since I'm within driving distance I'll probably show up on Saturday sometime since I won't be getting a room.

Go ahead and get the name on the list so we'll have a good idea on the number of t-shirts to order.

See you in Oct...

You can work anytime, this is a once a year experience. :thanks: very much.

Where exactly is 2.5 hours from Blanco?
And, want to get added to our e-mailing list? E-mail if so.

2 more weeks to get the reservations in at the Host Motel.

For those planning to attend, you should be seriously preparing yourself for The Three Sisters. :haul:
Come and enjoy them and you'll have something nice to dream about later.

This is one of the post that was lost.

 Glad I noticed.

Today is the FINAL DAY to get special rates.
And, ONLY 7 rooms left at the host motel.

For anyone wondering, when reservations are made, no money exchanges hands until after the event.
A credit/debit card number is needed to hold the room, but it's not charged until actual checkout, or
you can pay cash at checkout to avoid the credit card transaction.

I got a reminder email from Deborah, the Motel owner reminding me of the 31st August deadline to reserve the room at the $73.00 a night rate.
After that regular rates apply.

Here's a list of the available rooms.
Also, there are several weddings planned for that weekend in the area.
That's the reason the National Brand local motel wouldn't give us special rates.
Deborah has told me that they have been contacted about reserving rooms for these wedding parties but
she's informed those parties that these rooms won't be released until Thursday, 09-01-11.
From talking to her, and sensing the business woman she is, I'd bet she got names and numbers and will be calling some of those prospective renters back.

Even if you think you might attend go ahead and make the reservation,
you can always call and cancel or let us know through this thread and someone who procrastinated more than you will probably take it.
This way most of us will be at the same location.

ROOMS AVAILABLE FOR OCTOBER 21ST & 22ND

Room 101 – (non-smoking/Kitchenette) Queen bed, sitting area, & fully equipped kitchen, iron/ironing board, cable TV/DVD, hair dryer, and free WI-FI

Room 103 (smoking/double) two queen beds, includes coffee maker, microwave, & mini-fridge, cable TV/DVD, hair dryer, and free WI-FI

Room 104 – (non-smoking/Suite) – Queen bed, coffee bar, and sitting area w/full size sofa, includes coffee maker, microwave, & mini-fridge, hair dryer, cable TV, and free WI-FI

Rooms 109 – (non-smoking/Economy Single) Full size bed – coffee maker, hair dryer, cable TV, and free WI-FI

Rooms 106 & 110 – (non-smoking/Economy Plus-Single) Queen bed – coffee maker, microwave, mini-fridge, hair dryer, cable TV, and free WI-FI

Rooms 112 – (non-smoking double) two queen beds, includes coffee maker, microwave, & mini-fridge, hair dryer, cable TV, and free WI-FI

TERMS

Reservations of one room

require 48 hours notice for cancellation or changes in arrival/departure dates.
Please notify us no later than 2 pm, TWO days prior to your arrival date to release you from responsibility.
Failure to do so will result in your credit card being charged the full cost for your reservation.
Guys and gals, it's gonna be a :haul: this year.
So get your a$$ in gear and get your car ready.

Hey,

Cindy is curious about what wives will be doing and what other things will be going on. She has a friend who wants her to go out to Arizona. She likes the drives but if its gonna be all bmw all the time she might pass on the fun. ;)

Not sure what Blanco has to offer if she decided not to go... on Saturday.
Don't want to spill all the beans, but Saturday will be away from Blanco, very scenic with lots of pic ops and interesting driving.
Sunday we're planning another local scenic and interesting stop, along with a great lunch spot prior to heading home.
Did I mention The Three Sisters?

We, the event organizers, have agreed on this years event logo. T-shirts will be available on site when we register at host hotel.

Other fun stuff in the works as well, like prizes and maybe trophy for top cars in attendance.

If anyone is interested in becoming a sponsor (any type of business is welcome) please contact us for details.
Your company logo will be printed on the event shirts.

or Sherman aka 1st 5er (author of this thread).

More to come in the next few days. Stay tuned...
