I saw one of these cruise though the local mall yesterday. AC Cobra w/427. It's been my favorite for years. It was metallic blue with dark silver rally stripes. One day.....

I've always like the Cobra but I'd personally go with the 289 cu.in engined version as the balance is better.

The car I've always wanted since I was about 16 was a '59 or '60 Corvette with the Rochester FI system.

Here's a few pics of a '59 with a removable hardtop.

My uncle has a '58 fuelie, restored by my dad. It's medium grey with silver scallops, a light metallic blue interior, and a hardtop. The '58 and '59 are virtually identical, but the '59 looks cleaner, IMO, since it doesn't have as much chrome or the "washboard" on the hood. I do like the tail on the '60 better than the '58-'59.

Toyota FJ60 Lancruiser ('86 or '87) with a Chevy Duramax diesel engine and tranny. I'm hatching a plot to make this happen over the next 5 years, finances permitting. It will be the ultimate Landcruiser.

That's my current fantasy. Could be different 6 months from now.

Is that a '68 or '69 Charger? One of my high school buddies had a '68, we double dated to the senior prom in that car. It was a neat car except it only had a 318 in it. Now, his brother-in-law had a Charger with a 440...that thing could move.

If someone were to ask me for a short cut to sensuality, I would suggest he go shopping for a used 427 Shelby-Cobra. But it is only fair to warn you that of the 300 guys who switched to them in 1966, only two went back to women. -- Mort Sahl

I've always wanted a Ford Pinto. I love the location of the gas tank!

What? You people were serious?

Oh. . .

If you can't find one of those, maybe you should consider an AMC Gremlin with the optional Levi's interior.

I'd like to find a ratty BMW 507 and have the wherewithal to fully restore it, AND I'd like to own a Z8, red with silver leather interior or silver with full red interior.

Hey, watch out for one of my favorites! The Ford Pinto Wagon with the solid glass rear door was too cool, particularly with a Ford 5 liter engine installed.

In all seriousness....
1) A Porsche 911 Carrera 3.2 sunroof coupe in either white, platinum, or champagne with sport seats, staggered Fuchs wheels, Koni sports, near perfect interior, lowish miles (<90kms), 1-2 owners, etc. This is a very realistic goal....and I'm on the lookout for one now. I would like to trade my '99 528i Sport for a Carrera 3.2 (87-89 with G50 tranny). :)

2) A BMW e28 "tuner car" (German) - Alpina B7 turbo, Hartge H5S, and the like... :D

3) Land Rover - Range Rover classic - circa ~1994-95 (SWB or LWB or anniversary edition 1995)....not really a "dream" but might have to budget that way to keep one running. I've always liked these impractical beasts...problems and all. ~0

Cheers,
Tim

ps.
I presume you meant if we could have something else in addition to our beloved e28s, right? I"m not selling mine this time....unless I get an e28 tuner car that is :D

No "the" car for me, but lately I have been on a kick for a nice Euro M635csi in red, lowered just a bit with some deep dish 3 piece BBS wheels with gold centers. All stock otherwise.

Ferrari 275 GTB, Prefer Red but I'd settle for yellow. This is the ONLY yellow car I would ever own.

Wow, that's tough to narrow it down to one.

I'd have to say in a modern car, the Z8 is the one that make me drool. Gorgeous styling (ie pre-Bangle), excellent engineering and rare.
If you're talkin' muscle cars, the '69 Camaro RS/SS, white with Hugger Orange stripes and interior.

For more classic cars, yeah the early 60's Ferrari's are sweet.

If you go further back, I'd love a concours car like a Packard duel cowl Phaeton or a Duesenberg. Now if only I could find a couple of mill' layin' around somewhere.

Now, I just want my e28 to be able to embarass other people's "dream" cars. And an Elise, 911 GT3, CL65, 360 spyder, and Range Rover would be nice.

This one would be a nice "get it right now" car:

For a bimmer, a 24 valve e24, preferably M6.

For the ultimate, I have to agree - the small-block Cobra. Handling, power, etc etc. A bloke in Melbourne here has a 4.4 lexus (twin supercharged) in his. Practical, and 600bhp at the wheels. Ouch.

I would have to say a Porsche 930 with factory slant-nose option ('86 was the only year it was an offical option, but it was always a "special order item".)

I saw a special on SPEED Channel about Lamborginis and it was very impressive.
This one is a 2003 Murcielago, V12-575 hp, 6 speed and AWD. A very cool car.
I would need alot of $$$ for my dream stable, I love the older V12 Ferrari's, the old muscle cars,
Porsches, the new GT40, Saleen 7...... there are just tons of cars I would like to have....

About the Ford Pintos, one of my first roomates had a "Race Pinto"!!! He had built the motor,
it screamed and then he welded the doors shut. So one day I put in a drivers net for him, for shits and giggles. We would be half lit and then go driving on the back roads(save the lectures, I was a kid), that car would smoke the shit out of the tires, it was a hoot, the only problem is that he only had one seat, the drivers. I got tired of croutching in the passengers seat position so oneday we drilled some holes, got some U-bolts and bolted in a Lawn chair!!! The reclining (chase) type,it was hilarious!!!!

My roomates name.........LUMPY!!! Gosh, I miss him, he was a nut!!!
