Took a couple of pics this weekend showing the progress of my e28. Still a bunch to do, but, getting there! I did a little wheel test fitting/swapping this weekend. The wheels on the e28 are from my M3 and the pics at the bottom show the wheels that were originally intended for the e28. I'v also got a set of naked throwing stars that will end up on one of the two cars.

Very nice. Forgive me for not knowing, but what did you start with? Was it a U.S. spec 535i or 528e or ? The wheels on the M3 are sweet. I think the naked ts will look really nice too.

Ever hear of Hartge? It's a German BMW tuning company. Do a Google search and you may learn something. %)

Thanks Ron, it was originally a US 535i. I've had it off the road for about 3.5 years while collecting parts (and building a house around it!) I've still got quite a bit of parts to install, but, it's back on the road again. Here are a couple of small progress pics I just found. BTW, the next big step is to install the M106 head and associated turbo ancillary parts.

Damon,

Lookin' good! I can't wait to see it in person. You STL guys really need to get a meeting going and let me crash the party! :)

That's a very nice color. Looks like a cross between cirrus blue (one of my all-time faves for an E28) and, uh, another color lol!

The M3's yours, too? Suh-weet! The wheels on that one should stay on it, and the naked M5 wheels should go on the 5er. Definitely a good combination!

LOL....Been trying. Want to come help me swap heads from the M106 onto the M30?

It's Arctic Blue Metallic. Unfortunatetly while wet sanding and buffing, I've been finding some spots where the color coat dried too quickly !@#$ .

Thanks, Todd! I need to talk with you about a few things, but, I'm still trying to get all my ducks in a row (been bouncing off the walls the last couple of weeks).

Hell yes I do! Name the weekend, and I'll try to make it over there. I'm doing some cooling system work on my car this coming weekend: water pump gasket, heater valve, all of the thermostat housing sensors. That means everything on my cooling system is new or fixed up now.

After that, I'll be ready to go to STL, so just lemme know when!
