They couldn't have made the images just a bit smaller?

My cousin turned 18 today, drinking age in the UK.

All these years (my friends at school were drinking since 15, I wasn't) I thought I might be missing something. Well, turns out, I'm really really not.

From now on I'll just have a glass of nice wine with a meal, or a single beer with friends, but nothing more than that.

Kohler and I found rot in my trunk the other day. (I knew there was some rot around the license plate lights, but I'm not clever enough to know what it means to fix it)

Ironically liberating. It changes things for that car going forward.
Mechanically, I've made it a great DD. I've been holding off on cosmetics until everything is sorted mechanically. Aside from a small new coolant leak, it's there.

I'm thinking about a cheap coat of red and just drive the shit out of it while I look for the next one....I've learned a ton with it, and I have a bunch of good parts that will stay with me.

When I was at the driving range yesterday a cop car pulls up and asks me if I've seen anyone come out of the woods or wandering along the tree line. I'd seen nothing but now I've got something to add excitement to my practice and I emptied the whole bucket of balls into the woods. ^^^ Hey Brian; what kind of knife is that? I'm in the market for a replacement for the Kershaw Scallion I left in the hands of an airport security babe at Schiphol.

It's a sad day today for me; may have to retire my trusty Mac PowerBook. It's been in daily use by me since April of 2005, and in the last week it seems to have developed a fatal logic board failure.

On a brighter note, it gives me an excuse to go out & buy a shiny new MacBook.

Gerber autoblade S30V. Very nice knife . Cant tell you where it came from, but can say its not avail to civilians, afaik.

My MacBook Pro was put in service in March of 2006 and is still going strong but I'm expect something to take a dump sometime soon. I don't think the USB ports are powered any longer and the DVD drive sometimes spits out discs at random. It will be replaced with the 17" version when it finally bites it.

VERY nice knife. They are available to civilians, at a price; upwards of $200. Unfortunately a bit outside my price range.

Thanks for the Spyderco recommendation; might have to look into that. I prefer a straight blade over serrated ones, but it's likely they've got one. I really liked the Scallion for the way it snaps open by flicking a little lever on the back ( http://e28-535i.com/upload/scallion2.mp4 ). A lot of people that saw me open it would ask if it's legal to carry a switchblade; I'd say it must be if you can buy them at Ace Hardware! It was a nice size to fit in the corner of my right-front pocket, with the clip on the outside. I've been carrying a Sheffield cheapo in its place for a while, but the thing is all steel and heavy; feels like I've got a roll of quarters in there. Wouldn't you know that after displaying a few glitches when I first opened it up this morning, the machine has been working flawlessly. Maybe it just needed to be threatened. I'll probably replace it anyway, just because it's a year or two overdue. But I'll likely go for the smaller machine -- lighter is better when I'm away from my desk, and I don't mind the smaller screen size. At work I can hook up to an external 22" monitor & keyboard. That's the only way to rock!
