im getting pissed of with my ve6

I want more lift to cam plate with less steeper profile... cummins plate is too steep for idi engine...

there is two different cam plates for bmw
mechanical ip has 1.8mm lift
electrical ip has 2.0mm lift
vw d24 engine has 2.2mm lift in ip

but i wan more more more....
and im considering rocken-tech 14mm rotorhead for bad day...

Yeah hell! ladies & gentlemen lets blow our engines!!! :deadhorse:

Hi,

i fully agree, the DI camplates are to steep for IDI engines, at least if you realy goes for high rpm. In my AAZ i have destroyed 2 sets of nozzle with a 10er piston, before i came to that conclusion.

In an AAZ they only could used with a 9er piston, which is equal to 12er piston and idi camplate.

For the M21 in my mind a TDS camplate with a 2.1 mm lift and a 12er piston should be captable enough, but 2.2. should be even better.

Are you sure about the 1.8 mm for the stock camplate, i thought it was only 1.5 mm.

Hi,

here is a pic with the internals from the Iveco pump, where my 12er piston is from. You can see the camplate which was installed there. I thought a moment for using it , but was not brave enough for put it in.

Hi,

did you not build your engine by yourselves, that somebody forbit you to speak about?

Regard the Iveco pump, honestly i did not have any informations. I have bought the pump at ebay just because of that magical "2" in the part number.

The pressure retention valves was very courios and had have some type of additionally non return valve with, so together with the very high lift cameplate i would assume that it was for DI engine. I can not remeber what was the camplate lift in detail but think it was something between 3.5 and 4.0 mm

my engines are built by me... but we have some secrets about perfomance... and these guys who are invented these specialties do not want that everyone knows about their mods

it is like in racing....

Ok my friend described my work as wrestle of the jacob

3 days with one fu**ing starter...

now i has hybrid starter with frame and stator from diesel 2.2kw starter + planetary gear.... but bendix etc is from 1.1kw gasoline engine... it has little bit smaller clutch and gear wheel... so it work fine with 240mm gasoline engine flywheel...

but the best news are that my 524td started today... and it runs very good... attlast ;)

Hi,

why are you running a gasoline flywheel and can your clutch handle the torque. I have the E39 525TDS Ø240mm flywheel (two masses) and clutch, which is a plug and play swap, but the clutch is not captable for my torque figures. Did you have stock Ø240 mm clutch ore some heavy duty parts?

Good work, that you engine is running again.

I has 240mm solid flywheel from e28 528i with 240mm sachs racing m5 setup + stock plate.... it is very stiff setup... it can easily take 500nm

my friend has that 228mm m3 setup with stock plate and still no clutch problems...

That is awful. But I'm very surprised at how long the engine survived the torture.

Hi,

how can you inspect the car and get it road legal without an exhaust manifold? Is your car running in the moment, i mean did you drive it? However do have a new dyno date, i would really love to see the power and torque curves from your car.

My engine is still hashed, i have allready get my new mls headgasket with slightly bigger water ports, my camshaft is back from regrinding, but the head is still at the engine shop to get it plane and change the valve position to compensate the camshaft reginding.

I will also swap from mechanical water pump and visco fan to electrical pump and fan with digital controller, without a thermostat.

I hope to put it all together in 2 - 3 weeks.

Best Regard
