Order a steel blank and get it cut from one of your brass keys or if you want it perfect, from the driver's side door lock.

I'm working on that. I already redid the driver's door lock, so I'm not taking it out again.

My key specialist says it's better to use the passenger side lock.

Heaps easier to remove, too. Stupid-ass door lock heater. Argh.

If you want to give my key guy a try, he should be available in 3-10 years. His name is Vinnie "Fingers" Gravano. Paul LaDue turned me on to him.

Installed misterfixit's Mo Brighta Mo Better tail and brake light upgrades. These are just plain cool. I'll get some photos up later with a side-by-side comparo.

Pics or it didn't happen. ;)

Come on; we want details! (not necessarily here, but it is required, don't you know...)

Got the B35 wired up and worked on plumbing a bit. Next is to finish the 5sp swap, diff swap, and secure a DS. This has got to be the slowest B35 swap...ever.

I'm in the process of replacing all the rubber in my suspension. Just installed some sway bar end links today, took me an hour maybe and it was super easy. One more thing out of the way, still a LOT more to go.

Also, that brake line went back where it belongs, so don't worry guys ;)

Jump started the 533, let it run for a bit while it tried to dry out the inside. Apparently not enought to charge the battery :( Jump started it again, let it run, still not enough for it to start on it's own. Then promptly broke the vent control knob while trying to open the floor heat

I've got to: fix whatever is leaking, and properly charge the battery or replace it. and, fix the heat controls and glovebox latch

Both e28s now have chrging/battery issues  :bawl:

Ordered a trans support, as mine is missing the bolt holes , trans mounts, clutch master to slave cyl hose, and some e23 hood struts, so I can ditch the piece of wood that's been supporting the hood/getting in the way.

We're getting somewhere...

:alright:

Do the e32 struts really make a difference? I've heard they were longer, but by how much? does it make the engine bay that much easier to work in?

Also, finally gave up and put my car in the shop to get a new ignition cylinder installed cause my key broke. Hopefully it goes well and I get it back today :)

Honestly IDK. I read somewhere they were longer, and through my work they were cheaper than the e28 struts, so I figured, why not? We will find out tomorrow. Anything has got to be better than non-functional struts.

E32 hood struts will allow you to open your hood about 12".

http://www.mye28.com/viewtopic.php?t=56357

E23/24 hood struts allow you to open the hood further than the stock ones.

Good deal! Please post your findings, if they do in fact make a big difference I might just pick some up as well. Maybe before/after pics if that's not too much to ask :)
