93 days, 14 hours, 29 minutes until Rolling the Twisties!
At less then 100 days, please ensure that your cars are going to be up to snuff for the trip. I suggest:
Making sure your brakes are in good order with fresh fluid
A fresh oil change
A freshly cleaned or new air filter
Fresh transmission and final drive fluid
Making sure you have adequate tire tread depth
Make sure your suspension is in good order, check those lower control arms
Your fuel system including transfer pump are in working order
A valve adjustment has been performed
You have a spare parts kit between your group (see this thread, wkohler has it bang on: http://www.mye28.com/viewtopic.php?p=405474#405474)
This stuff should be easy for a DIYer to perform and will insure up-most reliability when running the twisties. With these suggestions, you should be able to overcome any common E28 problem that you would encounter when running the trip.
We look forward to seeing you at RTT!

Thanks for the reminder, but according to Rodney, I've still got 91 days before prep begins.

Yep, except white. My late Dad's car. Got my driver's permit in that car. Don't get too excited. Slowest in any pack.Mark in Toronto wrote:Yes, something like this??KillerPM wrote:WOW!m-racer wrote:All stock with the exception of a little performance work on the engine and 912 wheels.adrian in florida wrote:Thats cool ! Hey guys I have a feeling RTT is gonna be pretty cool this year. The final planning session will be held in less than two weeks in sunny Florida.. There will be a celebratory planning dinner held at Siam Garden in St Petersburg on saturday March 24th at 8:00pm.
Its sort of interesting how Mr twisty planned his planning session to be held in st petersburg the same weekend of the St Pete Grand Prix..
Last year the planning committee got pulled over in my boat by Marine patrol. The officers wanted to know what we were up too. I told them" just drinking some beers". The marine patrolman said "well good... Carry on!"
