Okay, we're taking 10 to Santa Monica. Just talked to Chris, he's 60 from the Cali border.

Chris just texted, he's on the 91 which puts him about 45 minutes out. I offered him some breakfast, he requested a sausage mcgriddle.

I better go draw a bath, I only have a few minutes to play submarine.

You guys are hilarious!!

Karl, thanks for the kind offer. You know I'd love a ride up the coast in your car. But I'm just doing an up and back on Friday. Maybe Saturday if I'm lucky.

Guys go ahead and plan on having dinner without me. I should be able to meet you for an after dinner drink but don't wait for me. We are still dealing with insurance bullshit and only a 1 car family. So we have some things to do early this evening. Someone PM me a contact number.

So that puts you in my neighborhood (405/10) about when?
(I just need to know how to plan my morning).

Just got back to the office after having lunch with the crew in sunny Malibu. Three of the nicest and best examples of E28's you will ever see in a parking lot (at least for Los Angeles).

Good luck to the SoCal/AZ guys going: Mike, Chris, Jeff, Charles, Darin, Karl, Carl (Nelson), and probably a bunch more.
Safe travels up and back and have a blast. Take and post progress photos, please.

(Oh, and did you hear? The Malibu Inn is closing next week)

We made it to the fabulously appointed Sandpiper Inn. The cars all ran fine the whole way.
The drivers are resting comfortably with cocktails and then we're going to stroll down to the Embarcadero for din-din.

Your welcome Jay! Turns out it was a good thing you weren't depending on me for a ride after all. I left Ron's shop, hit the on ramp a 1/2 mile from his shop, and it starts sputtering and dies. It tried to restart, but it kept sputtering, would clear out fine, and then die again. I'm guessing it's the ONE part I didn't buy new for it. I have a feeling the FPR just took a dump.

Anyway, didn't have time to look at it. I had it towed back to Ron's shop, jumped in the e21 Baur, and arrived here a little while ago. Do you know that a stroker motor mounted in an e21 will haul ass??? Oooooh doggies! :alright: See you'z soon.

Looks like I'm quite late to the party.

First off, sorry to hear about your wife and the accident, Jay. Hopefully you won't be tied up too much during next week.

I won't be heading down to Monterey until Saturday for Festorics. Unfortunately, we (my father and I) didn't register in time to get into the corral - It was kind of a last minute decision. I tried convincing him to re-register his M5 just for the week, but he'd rather not and choose to bring the coupe. Now I have to fully convince him that we should take my car (though there's no A/C). However, we are going to make it down to Monterey for O'fest. I should be in the area for the whole week. I'll definitely be there on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Saturday for the driving school.

Looking forward to getting to know the other members of the board.

Also, I did not realize that Saturday/Monday was coming up so soon; I'm going to have to overwork myself cleaning the car in order to make it look presentable...

Darin just left my house heading north. Ask him about crying babies, barking dogs and microwave ovens. His car looks tits. Have fun boys!

The show isn't until Friday. Yesterday and today isn't enough time to replace a FPR? :? :dunno:

It was 2pm already when it happened, so I wasn't 100% sure if we would have had time to diagnose and get whatever part was needed by the end of the day. The better half is flying into MRY today, so I also felt it may be prudent to be here when she arrived.

Oh well, it happens. One benefit of this is that now I'll be able to really enjoy the libations the Drink Daddy holds, and thoroughly enjoy watching the sweat pour off of the Cupcakes' brow while he prepares his ride. Until the trophies are dished out. I'm going to need a lot of alcohol! :bawl:

So, who needs 2??? Passes etc, to get into Laguna Seca and the Festorics on Saturday? I think I'll take my bride up to the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk and ride the merry-go-round, and keep on riding it, until I end up tossing one of those ring thingys into that clowns mouth.

Had a great dinner and dessert with the crew in Morro Bay last night.

Safe travels today!

Karl, sorry to hear about the car. I was really looking forward to seeing it for the first time.

Thanks Brendan!

See you all on Friday!

These cars are stunning!

We are all in Pacific Grove. Other than me needing some freon this morning, the cars all ran great.

Was 714 already rented? ;)

I'll be going to a likker store later, is there anything the Drink Daddy may be missing. Hmmm, just thought of some thing German that may be appropriate, and it's not Jaeger either. Hopefully they sell it here.

I forgot to mention that the M5 broke 300k yesterday. I didn't actually witness it though because Mike was showing me a hilarious video of a cat playing with a ball of string on his IPhone

Moi.

Things are a bit cramped at the Lavender House so Mike and Chris were gracious enough to let me use their parking area.
