I'm still committed to getting these done but unfortunately I have a work related critical deadline coming up this weekend and lasting into next week, so I have not been able to pay the shop a visit to finalize the prototype.

I'm in for two unpainted if it's not too late

No worries, just wanted to make sure the project hasn't fizzled out! I think of this thread every time my switches fall out of my old, cracked switch surround...which is pretty often

I asked that question and was told that the machine (I think it was a Toshiba) doesn't like cutting thicker aluminum. I asked for 3/16" thickness. Is this a plausible answer they gave me?

They may be open on Saturday. If they are I'll make an appointment with the owner and have a chat about moving this forward.

Rob, I used to use copious amounts of Ambien for sleepless nights for years and then I got 2 dogs. I am now too tired to stay awake. That may work for you.

My work load has been getting better so let me check with this shop again.

Hi guys, sorry for the delay. The shop promised to generate the final sample on Monday. Once I approve then we can run off the batch.

Production for the surround is finally scheduled for next week. Not sure how many I should make since it's been a while since I posted the list of people interested at the top of this thread. Back in August that was 53 pieces from 43 people. I'm thinking of making just 40 for now. Let me know if you're still in or not.
