You know you have too many parts when you're more excited about having one less part and freeing up a cubic foot of space than you are about the money you got for said sale.

One less LSD, I'm 80 pounds lighter. :D

The room's original linoleum tile flooring was under the carpet (circa 1948; classy stuff!) and when I pulled the trim off of one wall I found this little gem hiding under it.

It's slightly smaller than a dime; when I first looked at the obverse side, the speck on the E made it look like an F. "ONE FARF. What the heck is a farf?"
I'll make an appointment with my optometrist tomorrow.
That is a bus or trolley token. Ive found many of those in my metal detecting hobby. Very cool indeed. Prolly sometime between 30s-50s

One of my brothers-in-law is a bit older than me, and years ago helped his dad re-shingle barn roofs. He said that they would nail a penny to the peak of the roof when they finished. Seems like it was a common practice because I found a penny penny minted in 1948 nailed to one of the cap shingles on the roof of our house when we stripped the roof.

CVS unscented baby wipes do a FANTASTIC job on the bathroom mirror, even with a ten year old boy influencing conditions.
I'm tryin' 'em on the car windows next!

Had a Dr. visit about 20 years ago that resulted in a marble being removed from our youngest daughter's aching ear.
Where was this thread then?

One of the things my dad was famous for telling us was, "Good thing you hit your head, otherwise you would'a got hurt."

I borrowed my BIL Glen's pickup today, and as I was walking back to my car parked in front of his house, I slipped on the ice as I stepped off the curb and went down, hard. The ice was totally hidden by the little bit of snow that fell today... Dang I hate it when that happens. Got a nice little gash in the back of my scalp where it must've caught the edge of the curb. The wife doesn't think I'll need stitches, but I think I'll have to go back this spring to fix that curb for Glen; pretty sure I cracked it pretty good.

I had a hot girlfriend in high school that lived at the end of a long gravel driveway. You could hear her boyfriend's car coming a mile away.

Pet Peeve of the day. The use of "Custom" in describing wheels, stereo or whatever when what they really mean is aftermarket. I've yet to meet anyone who actually had wheels custom made for their car.

In other words I just looked at another CL ad for a car with custom wheels replacing the original TRXs. Then again, looking at the language skills of some of the posters, maybe they are too dumb to know the difference. :dunno:

Is it good or bad that the reason I want to be 21 isn't so that I can legally buy alcohol, but the fact that it will be that much easier to get laid? (4 weeks left).

Driving down I-29 this afternoon, in a bit of a hurry on my way to an appointment, going just under 75 in a 65 zone... I go to pass a truck and right in front of it is one of these things...

Image

The SD highway patrol is using them now, and dang if they look for all the world like a plain old civilian SUV. All the trooper cars I've seen until today were Dodge Chargers; some with light bars and some without, so I was totally not expecting this. Sneaky buggers.

There' a unmarked dark grey Ford Crew Cab Pickup truck down here that has all kind of stickers on the tail gate, My kid is an honor student, Breast Cancer etc with dark tinted windows (which everyone has) and even has a big sticker across the rear windshield. It is so stealth he gets everyone.

They have a Tundra set up the same way as well as a Toyota Camry 4 door, the cops here are getting very good at being stealth like....Bastards!!!!

Yeah, I started seeing a bunch of those and the sedan version at work last year. Badass with 365HP in the twin turbo version, which is what the local Sheriff's bought. Dunno how they handle, but they're going to gobble up the straights pretty quick.

Just finished my third official "Narrator" gig for my unit.
My XO came over and said, "You realize that you're "it" now, right?"
I'm planning on it.

I already have a few more retirements, a change of command, and I'm sure I'll do the Marine Corps Birthday Ball again this year...
Working on my best "John Paul Jones", or "Morgan Freeman".

Sure wish I could turn it into a real paycheck.
