I have had 4-5 transactions with TCD lately, all have been better than described and have shipped on a timely matter. I have never had an issue with him .

Recently had a good transatlantic purchasing experience with tesko. :D

Parts were as described and arrived swiftly.

Can't say the same for UK Customs and Excise though, they always find a way to get their hand into your pocket.

Just had a GREAT experience buying from TCD! Communication was great throughout, he shipped right away, and everything received was as desccribed.

He even texted me before shipping to make sure I wasn't ordering the wrong part.

Thanks!!!

Mick was easy to work with and would be happy to sell to in the future. Also Mick if you can would love to see pics of the car once you have added the electric seats.

Almost a year ago I purchased an OE radio from Chris Kohler; I just installed it this week and it works perfectly. The fact that he also provided the factory connectors was helpful in getting all this together and working. Just want to finally give him his due thanks and appreciation for a great transaction and a fine radio!

Thanks Larry! I'm glad it worked for you! I have to say I rather enjoy seeing a stock radio in an E28. It's kinda crazy!

I had a great transatlantic experience with Mark (Northwestdriven).

Parts were as described, very well packed and quickly sent. Communications were excellent.

It was a pleasure to work collaboratively with Mark to tease out the appropriate comfort electric seat looms that I required.

Will readily purchase from Mark again.

Thank you Mark.

I'm having a fickle seller, I'm dealing with. I don't want to say who it is yet, I want to give the guy some time, maybe he has an emergency. Anyway, my question is, can you file a claim with PayPal if the money was sent as a gift? Please let me know. My guy went awol once he received the money.

No, hence the gift designation. I just had a situation after sending a "gift" payment that has been resolved after a couple weeks due to the seller realizing that they had a conscience. I will never make this mistake again for an item purchased from a stranger, especially one from the Facebook e28 group.

I guess I learned my lesson the hard way. I will keep emailing him and we will see what happens this has cost me $550.

Great experience with Das Rennwagen. I purchased a complete exhaust system from him a couple weeks ago. He sent plenty of photos to show condition, gave me a great deal, and even delivered to my family member who was local to him.

What is the best way to deal with someone who took your money and went AWOL? Do we have an arbitration thread? This is the first time for me on a forum, and so far, I have had nothing but love from everyone here, if it relates to parts, technical stuff, or anything related to e28's. Honestly, everyone here is like a family and is willing to help. But I guess every once in a while we get a bad apple. How do we deal with this? Should we all stop dealing with someone who does not behold into the honesty system that we share? It really bothers me that a person will cheat his fellow man over trivial things. Should we make a list of arbitration where we put people on the "naughty list" or "nice list"? Let me know what you guys think.

This is precisely what this thread is for.

If you had a bad experience with someone, post the details here (unless it was with me of course).

Tell us about the seller here, or start a thread. I would say anybody that does shady business on this site should be banned, and brought to light.

I had a good transatlantic purchasing experience with Aaron (akluminus).

Parts were as described, very well packed and quickly sent. Communications were excellent.

I can now look to upgrade my two 525e's to the M5 25mm front Anti Roll Bar as well as the rear Anti-Roll Bar re-enforcement.

Will happily purchase from Aaron again.

Thank you Aaron.

Very poor experience with emwexler. I purchased a "brand new" Bosch ICV from Eric last week. The part arrived in a timely fashion, but I was shocked to see it was clearly used/dirty and has a 1993 build date code stamped on it.

I accept part of the blame for paying with a money order (he claims to not have PayPal) and not requesting pictures before purchase. Lesson learned. Still, this was an incredibly blatant misrepresentation on the seller's part. Here was his reply and final communication to me upon being questioned:

He has PayPal. He paid me via PayPal and was also the epitome of the pain in the ass buyer. Surprised he didn't want a video.

When my anger subsides, I might actually install the used part I grossly overpaid for.

Seriously guys we need to start an excel list and put people's names on in it, make it a sticky, so everyone can refer to it. I would like someone who has been on this forum for a long time and knows most of the people to do the arbitration, so it is not arbitrary. I paid uberdeus $550 as a gift two weeks ago for a dash, and I have not heard from him since. I gave him the benefit of the doubt, that he might've had an emergency, but I guess two weeks is long enough to at least answer the emails. Justin Keigel is his name.

Holy crap. That sucks.

The nice thing about this thread is that you can search the topic for a username and the times we have really bad people screwed over, they generally weren't welcome here anymore and our members are pretty vigilant to make sure people know what they have done. Not a perfect system but is it ever?
