They loaned me a brand new, still shrink wrapped, blind bearing puller for free. Too bad they could not find a clutch kit for the Yota pickup. No profit for you!
Napa is across the street, and had six on the shelf. Good luck, Advance auto no has parts!

Your car is missing. Is that all the carjackers left you?

(holds wheel, makes vroom vroom sounds...)

That reminds me, I managed to screw up the CC stalk during the pedal bracket repair.
Off to the Parts page!

I'm eternally grateful that I don't live in an area with emissions testing.

I think Wednesday was the first time I ever asked for a moment of silence. For a coworker who retired two years ago and died after a 3.5 week battle with cancer. Even though I've been doing the boss gig for a while now I still never know if the crew will treat me as king or court jester. This time was king, not a peep out of the crew and a third or so had wet eyes after the brief interlude. Shit, I'd much rather write someone up and I don't like that either. :(

Newspaper dude keeps putting a bag on the daily paper when it's not raining and no-bag when it rains. Sounds trivial I know, but Soggy Sunday paper=not cool, dude.
I'm beginning to think he's screwing with me, and I'm not sure how to react. I'm leaning on placing a dead squirrel in the newspaper tube, but not sure this bag of dicks would notice, just stuffing it past the bloody squirrel body and placing the paper in the tube anyway.

We can't get a Daily Newspaper here because the old people (snowbirds) steal it.
There's even a paper machine across the street but the Newspaper stopped filling it because the old people pay for one and take them all to pass out to their friends.

Bastards, don't work for a living, have two homes and steal newspapers!!!

Bought a 91 535i 5 speed with e39 m5 rims for $400 today.

Rough body and no title. But runs well. :D

About to load up the e28 with camera gear and drive to St Louis for two weeks. I am helping shoot a documentary about Wolfram Syndrome, a crazy genetic "super diabetes" that only 12 people in the US are diagnosed with.

We will be in and around the Med school at Wash U a lot , we are also interviewing Rams coach Jeff Fisher in the locker room at Rams stadium, and doing a section on JT Snow and his family (niece has the disease). I'm stoked!

Never been to St Louis, a bartender here at the beach gave me a list of stuff to do while I'm there (she grew up there). Anyone else from around there?

What a glorious Easter Sunday weather-wise. I took a nap after sunrise services and I've been futzing around outside since I woke up. The new place is starting to come together now that the St Paddy's interruption is over.

I got the the hose reel installed (thanks Ray).

And the new bar top prepped for the nautical charts and varnish tomorrow.

I had an expert arborist (okay it was just the retired guy next door but he seems to know his stuff) come by to look at the guacamole tree and he said it needs more water and some fertilizer, so I'm doing both.

I feel like I've been neglecting the front yard for far too long.

You, sir, are a dog. NTTIAWWT.

And you need to get a better camera/phone and take a photography course.

I hope the guy who invented the Briggs and Stratton recoil started is already dead. Thanks to him and his bullshit design, I wasted four hours trying to get my mower to start, after having just mowed my front lawn, only to give up and use my Stihl trimmer to "mow" my backyard. I got done after it was dark. I had weeds five feet high. Then I had to take everything and throw it in the bins.

I met my new UPS guy today and he's a cool. We worked out out all the large package and small package delivery strategies for when I'm not home. As I'm sure you all know, when maintaining old cars, it's important to have a good UPS guy. :D

So I've been around town trying to get a panhandler to hold up a sign that says "MyE28.com". So far, no luck and I am running out of bums! I even offered one guy 10$ and he just wouldn't do it. WTH?
I've got a bum that hangs out by my local grocery store on Fridays so I'm going to go after him now for my picture. Wish me luck.

Our forecast, for reals.

April 22, and we got ~6 of snow. I think we're going to jump directly from winter to summer this year.

I'll vote for better weather in general = more of us doing stuff instead of talking about doing stuff.

I turned the green stuff in to blue stuff and added some pink stuff. Now it works perfectly! Time to find a new penny.

Green stuff will usually get you some pink stuff which in turn will get rid of your blue stuff... ;)

But I don't want to get rid of the blue stuff. Everyone said "you gotta have the blue stuff, it's the only stuff" so I did. Now I shouldn't? Next your going to tell me that a rubber will cut off my circulation. I'm going to the garden.

End of June '98 and I attended a 5 day course on the care and feeding of the Lucent OC12 mux in Altamont Springs FL. No little frogs, Little lizards. Every afternoon there was a thunder shower.

Looks like TV in Sioux Falls is really holding onto the 1990s.
