I need to give a heartfelt, big thanks to Gary Beck (M5BB) and his wife Phyllis for driving my beast up here from LA.
Sergio at RonP's shop came in on his day off Wednesday and was able to get her running again. I was going to do a 12 hour kamikaze round trip to go get it Thursday, But thanks to those two's, I didn't have to.
It turned out to be the inline fuel pump. Wtf is going on with new oem parts?

This years Legends of the Autobahn was an amazing event! There was a 50% increase in entries from last year and all the entries were nothing less than incredible. As always The Central Chapter did an outstanding job putting on what is without a doubt a Legendary event, pun intended.
I want to be the first to send out a congratulations to Chris Kohler, Darin Stephenson, Jeff Borrins, Karl Einfalt, and Paul DiMauro for their outstanding achievement in taking home the trophies at this years Legends of the Autobahn Concours! I have watched these guys work their tails off in preparation for this event and the results speak for themselves. These cars are without a doubt some of the nicest 80's BMW's out there as well as some of the nicest people/owners in the community. I felt like I was in a group of very special and very deserving enthusiasts! Thank you for sharing the spirit and the enthusiasm!

See ya all on Tuesday. And I'll guarantee I'll be there before rags down this time. The competition is forcing me too.

Arrived in CA today.
Took a quick stop at Boneville Salt Flats:
And then 9 miles from my hotel in San Jose, stupid bambi thought crossing a 6 lane highway would be a good idea. I was in the slow lane and didn't have time to do anything other than slam on the brakes. If I had been hauling ass like the previous 13 hours of driving, I would have missed them. Luckily I hit the baby deer and not the much much larger momma.
Anybody in the bay area have a spare euro bumper, euro front valance painted jet black & euro M5 chin spoiler?

I'd post a pic I took of your car in the lot, but Photobucket won't let me sign onDidn't register for the corral in time. Stuck all the way back in the general parking area, around 10E. Wish I was there with you all!

Let's see how the rest of this week goes!
Also, leaving this link here for photos of Saturday's line up of the Historics (No hospitality pictures, unfortunately; by this time I was still too soaked up in the cars racing by).
Monterey Historics 2013 - Saturday
Hey Brendan, thanks for posting all of those great shots from Laguna Seca, now I'll have some memories of it all.
I had thought I took some video of all the classes, but apparently I hit standby instead of record. With the glare, I couldn't see jack on the display to confirm, so all I ended up with was 10, 2 second videos of me putting the frikkin' camera back in my pocket.
