Hey my father and I are currently working on an 87 535i for me to take to school and we should have it ship-shape in a month or so. I'm from Chattanooga and presently a student at Vandy. Unfortunately I think Chattanooga is pretty lacking in vintage bimmers.

There's a couple members in Iowa, it may take some work but you can find them in the member list. Where are you located?

I used to be located in Iowa. I know of some BMW guys down in Des Moines. Cedar Rapids also has some people that don't drive E28s. You can check with the IA BMWCCA chapter as well. Good luck.

To DANS528E, I just moved from there! I may be moving back but currently I'm living in South Florida. Good luck finding people to ride with there because I've searched EVERYWHERE and nobody seemed interested.

I even went as far as Washington, PA and tried to see what I could round up at Bobby Rahal BMW. I use to have to drive there to get my car serviced so I would try to make small talk with some of the guys who drove late model 5 series but no one was game. I went to Pittsburgh a few times for some of the Pirates games to only find senior citizens driving e28s when I did spot them.

I've come to find out a lot of the guys there have newer BMWs and don't want to hang around the older models. Check Morgantown from time to time. I've seen a couple there driving by but never stopped due to constant discouragement. If I'm ever in Fairmont I'll definitely keep you in mind because I know how it is. Good luck with your search though! Let me know what turns up! I left mid January so I doubt much has changed but you never know.

Currently I've met a few guys down here that are down to get together and ride so, we're working on organizing a few things to fit to everyones schedule. If anybody reads this in the West Palm/Broward area hit me up and let me know if you want to meet up. I'm usually done working by 8pm the latest and am always looking forward to meeting fellow e28 enthusiasts. Check the profile and shoot me an email or PM and let's get rollin! I can picture rollin by Beach Place taking up both lanes filled with e28s
