118250 miles on the ZHP this morning, which means nothing except that it now has more miles than the M5.

No, I didn't take any pictures :)

I flew the Secretary of Energy (and his heavily armed guards) to Chicago, and then met Justine Bateman flying into LAX last night. I shoulda asked the Secretary about Solyndra...

Yep. I'm curious why a cabinet-level appointee is flying commercially. I know they have a fleet of Gulfstreams for these guys...of course, that is a little pretentious these days.

Well, it's weird. I flew Supreme Court justice Sonia Sotomayor to Ft. Lauderdale (with about a dozen armed guards) too. You woulda thought Jesus was on the flight with all the press meeting the flight in Lauderdale.

These people usually have their own wheels.

Got invited to go flounder fishing but I need to spread some mulch and clean up my yard. If I drink enough beer it will all get done in time to have some people over and drink some beer. Maybe a nice little fire with all the yard waste. We'll all gather around and well, drink some beer.

The key to homemade chili has always been ground cumin. The Greeks knew it. The Carthaginians knew it. Now YOU know it.

The Greeks made chili? I didn't know that.

The wife & I are going to help serve at a local dinner theater. Free meal & a show; should be interesting, and I hear the food is pretty good too.

The food was good, but the show was mostly meh... Kind of a neat gig though... Volunteers come in to serve food & bus tables, and in return we got a meal and were able to see the show (there is a waiting list for servers.) Will definitely do it again!

But... we got a text message from our son while we were there; police were all over the neighborhood, and were telling everyone to stay in their houses. Then when we tried to go home, there was a cop car and the Mobile Command Post blocking the entrance to our street. Turned out the crazy dude that lives across the street & four doors down had gone off the deep end (again) and had barricaded himself in his house. We talked the cop at the end of the block into letting us park on the other side of our block and walk through the neighbor's back yard to our house. The police had been talking with the guy over the phone & must've talked him out soon after we got home, and everybody cleared out.

Crazy neighbor is crazy  but I think he'll be "on holiday" for a while, and we won't have to worry about him. For a while.

Hmmm, don't tempt me. I'd get to see you, your fleet, and grab an e30?

Too easy.
