Installed UUC clutch stop. AWESOME!! So much better than the home-made one that I had in my last BMW, an e34. This thing is a Hockey Puck with a bolt head imbedded in it! The picture on the web site doesn't show scale. It's BIG. OK, not quite as big as a hockey puck, but I was obviously very impressed when I opened the box!

Dropped an engine. Was a nice change from craning it out the engine bay.

Scraped last night's snow/ice from the windows. That is NOT supposed to happen in mid-flippin'-April!

I gave up on my body shop guy and decided to do the Euro bumper conversion stuff myself.
I did the side marker and bumper shock holes.

Swapped passenger sport seat over to drivers side. Figured if I'm the only one driving in my car, might as well be sitting in the best seat.
Replaced my mismatched wiper blades with 18" new ones. Also switched over the wiper stalks so the side didn't hang over the window.
Replaced front two tires. Finally cracked my Ladue replica spoiler (or maybe the tire shop did), can't blame anyone but me for that, car is too low.

removed the interior
soldered in leds for the the OBC
wired up eBay license plate lights.
revealed an entire floor pan worth of rust.
continued to be perplexed by the short in fuse 9 affecting the right marker lights which no longer pops a fuse but has continuity through-out the circuit.

Pulled the other diff and replaced with the previously pulled diff.
All this in preparation for The V and RTT.

Changed the oil and replaced front right ABS Sensor. Brake feel much improved and no more unnecessary ABS activation!

pulled black comfort seats, installed cardinal red sport seats. Now the car feels like it handles better and I'm held in place better. Such a huge upgrade!

Checked the lug bolts after my son complained about a funny noise from the rear end while he was driving it. Sure enough, three of the four wheels had multiple loose bolts. Then I instructed my sons on the fine art of torquing lug bolts,
with a torque wrench.
Then I took it out for a drive on a lonely two-lane highway. No funky noises from the rear end now...
Hellooooo, triple digits!
I'm always amazed at how smooth and stable this car is at speed.
My wife doesn't understand why I like this car so much, but then again she's never gone on a high-speed run with me before either.

I drove down town this morning in B6II with the sunroof open. Came home and continued the harvest from Swarz. Matt's buddy Matt showed up and I sold him a 4hp22 for his 85 528e . I threw in the drive shaft for a bonus.

After discussing Kohler's previous quest for an unmolested black rear deck, I told myself (after drilling mine to install a Mtech spoiler) if I ever came across a decent black trunk lid, I'd pick it up. Well, it happened today. $15 later, I have a virgin lid in the garage just waiting for some love. Paint looks good, so I hope to just clean it up, buff out some fine scratches and then wax... it should be good to go.
I do need to apply the matching pinstripe and find a rear roundel for it, but I'm pretty pleased.

This weekend I fixed my AC. Flushed it, replaced the compressor oil, and replaced the expansion valve. Only had to pull the evaporator twice. Also did some cosmetic work and fixed the only wiring issue from the harness splicing. I switched two blue/white wires which left my reverse lights inop and my passenger mirror only partially functional. Found them, switched them, and now all is well.

Yeah, and now I probably need to spray some primer on the one side to keep them from rusting since I've managed to chip a significant amount of paint off.

Treat it to a new Getrag 280 gearbox as my old one had munched the motion shaft & gear!
This one is getting it's own oil cooler!

I replaced my spark plug wires. It was the best thing I had done to the car in a while. She was starting to be rather grumpy in the morning when there was dew or it had rained. The engine would miss until it was nice and warm. Also it was taking longer and longer to start. I replaced the wires and all of those problems went away. It also idols better now.

cut out the carpet and dyed it
masked off a few more parts on the wheels
vacuumed up some loose rust and cussed out the rest
16 gauge floorboards soon.
