I guess I was expecting to much for a used part but somehow, I thought I would receive a part that had not been smashed in an accident, bent up and filled with filler (not a good job at that).

This thing is so mangled its incredible. Even more incredible is the fact that he thought this was ok to send to someone in an effort to make a buck.

Andy has an incredible reputation on here and if you have an issue with a part you purchased from him, contact him and he'll make it right. Do that before coming on here and saying bad about someone before giving them a chance to fix it
It is a Buyer seller feedback. i did not say bad. I said the truth. Now, if the parts just had minor bends from cutting them off, his idea of minor bends are much different than mine. I will post pics of the parts and you judge how minot they are.

EventuallyAyrton, go back and look at some of your bonehead posts before advising me on what to post.

Yes I called you out for something you missed. I left a buyer seller feedback. I thought this was the purpose of this thread, unless of course, we are only supposed to post positive feedback.

Look at the photos, I guess I can see how you missed the damage and the filler. my apologies.

My email is my paypal. Please refund my money as I do not wish to receive another part like this.

Not a problem. You would not receive a bad part again since I offered to take pics of the new part tomorrow before shipping it on Monday on my dime. I am not sure why all of this had to be done out here and you did not response to my pm or me email.

Hi Tony, I have no idea how I missed that, I can cut another one tomorrow and ship. If you can send your text I will send pics tomorrow so you can see the part before boxing. Once again sorry about that.

Andy
Also would like to bring up that I in the beginning offered to cut the part and mail it for 80. You are the one that approached me and never gave me any insight as to why you wanted the part except no one else had offered to do this. I did not ask for the full amount you were willing to pay (but you did sent it, which made you ok in my book) As I said in my email, I went back to the car and took off the fender and the rubber surround and learned that yes it had been hit and that no I had not noticed it. I understand being unhappy. Good luck finding the part.

Andy,

Look at the title of this thread: "Buyer/Seller Feedback Thread. Post your experiences here". I am doing as the title of the thread states.

I do not want another part because I do not normally go back to a vendor after a bad experience, even though I have been refunded my money.

I contacted you because of your "Reputation". I now realize that I should have not trusted your reputation and should have specified that you not send me a part that was rusted, twisted, mangled and loaded with filler. My bad for expecting a decent part.

Just send me the money please as people on this board contacted me asking if I needed this part after I originally contacted you and there are others who have viewed this waiting to hear from me in regards to supplying a part.

If you would like this piece of metal returned, send a call ticket and I will send it back.

Thanks

Tony

No Tony you keep it. Not sure why you are so hostile since I have admitted I made a mistake after going back and taking a closer look at the car and removing parts, but that is your call. Money sent. No worries.

Andy,

I can understand why you would not want it back.

Thanks for the advice message in the paypal payment. Thats why I posted here first. it ensured that I would get a refund.

Payment received.

I dont know why you think I'm being hostile, i apologized several times.

Thanks,

Hey, at least Andy stood behind his sale and apologized. Schlepping this used junk to people can be rewarding and shitty on a psychic level. Tony, did you ever tell the IRS how upset you are at them stealing from you at gunpoint? If so, please post it here, as I'd like to give them a piece of my mind too.

Best luck to both. Sorry to hear about the bad luck on both parts.

Purchased a short shift kit and rear headrests from @vviking. He shipped promptly and packaged well. If you're looking to do business with this member you should know he's old school. No PayPal or square cash. Check or money order only sent by mail, in my case cross country. Rest assured he's for real and will follow through. would definitely do business again.

Ps. Shipping was a little extra, so I'm mailing out a check for the difference.

If you posted here and left feedback without contacting the seller privately via PM or e-mail to give them the opportunity to make it right, that's a total dick move. Sure, it ensured you got your refund, but you likely would have gotten the same result had you handled it privately. You still could've posted negatively about him here in the unlikely event he refused. Mistakes happen. You've got to a give a person/business a chance to make it right before you start badmouthing them. The good ones will make it right, the ones that don't deserve the reputation they get.

The only person who came out looking bad in this is you, Tony.

Ditto. Hey Tony, next time you want a part to match your every want and desire, how about you schlep yourself through a junkyard and cut it off yourself? That's what the rest of us do....

As for Andy, he's a rock star and made you whole without question. I think you owe him the respect of cleaning up your vile posts that went above and beyond simply communicating an issue and having it resolved.

I received quite possibly the nicest condition BMW license plate frame I have ever seen from Kohler the other day. It will hang gracefully from my engine-less E21.

He said he will send me the remaining parts. Never did. Pretend he shipped them. 1 month later, still nothing...

First shipment arrived on time.
Next one, with the remaining parts: lost at sea? Sounds convenient.

Purchased a replacement brake booster from Andy (south26) a while ago and just got around to putting it in dry as Nevada compared to the old leaking unit. It's much cleaner too!

I hadn't eaten all day, so I bought a hotdog off of the rollers at a Stab-n-Grab. Counterman Jerry was quick to note it was the very last one and informed me that it had been cooking all day. Win/Win.
Very pleasant transaction as Jerry was happy not to be gutted like a fish, and I could eat a well cooked hot dog walking back to the car.

Bought a set if b32 injectors from MikeW (did you guys know that his last name is Wazowski?" And the longest part was waiting for the money order to get from me (NY) to him (CA). Everything else was very fast and packaged well. Excellent communication to boot. Overall a good experience, thanks Mike!

Tried to buy a filter housing from c3p0. Pm'd him with the part number saying I wanted a m30/s38 filter housing. Paid him, 5 days later asked him for a tracking number, no response. 2 days later asked him if he still planned to ship. Finally responds claiming he didn't have a shipping address (it was in the paypal transaction, which I copy from to pm him a response). I check the thread I pm'd him from, someone else is complaining about him not responding. Finally get the part 2 weeks after paying him.

I had opened a paypal dispute at this point, which I think is why he finally shipped it. Once he gave me the USPS number, I closed the dispute, big mistake.

I open the box to do an oil change about a week later, and the part has no drain plug. I guess US m30s don't have it only euro m30s. Misunderstanding, at least partially my fault, however I told him the part number of what I wanted. I PM him to return it, telling him that he can take $10 off the refund to compensate him for the time it took him to ship it as well as subtract the shipping price. No response. I ship it to him anyway, arrived 28 days after I told him I wanted to return it, thinking that any reasonable person would give a partial refund given that the incorrect part they shipped to someone was returned to them.

At this point, he has the returned incorrect part that he shipped to me, and hasn't refunded what I consider a reasonable request of letting him keep $18 because of the misunderstanding. Paypal doesn't let you open a 2nd dispute, so I'm stuck there.

I used to assume that there was a base level of character that you find in e28 owners, but I no longer feel that way. Beware c3p0. I had to fight him every step of the way.

Ok, I had a pretty negative experience with "c3p0" myself. Posted a WTB for injectors, he responded. I don't have and won't have a paypal account. Fuck paypal.

So I sent him a postal money order, and waited, and waited and waited. After 2 PM's, he finally responded after I sent him a third PM and threatened to expose him as a thief on the board.

He told me that "I shipped those three weeks ago". Bullshit. "Tracking #?", I asked. "Unfortunately I don't have a tracking number", was his reply. More bullshit.

I asked him what kind of person who's "business" is selling parts doesn't provide a tracking number, as doing so is an affirmative defense against accusations of fraud. Fucker replied with a PM with a tracking number, and "you should see them Wednesday".

Yes, I received them, but only after I accused him of being a scammer. Fuck that guy. No way in Hell will I use the injectors he sent me, since he's a fucking liar, who's to know what condition they are in anyway?? I'll just buy some new Gen2 Bosch 0556 refurbs that will be freshly tested, cleaned, flow-matched, with new o-rings for about $100 delivered.

TLDR: Fuck c3p0, he's a lying piece of shit and will try to steal your money.

Recently had a couple transactions worth mentioning.

First one was with dogabon. I purchased a crack free dash from him. The dash was well packed and looked even better than described. He was easy to work with and made sure it got to me. The dash was shipped from Spain to my house in North Carolina in 3 days. It was faster than shipping something across the country. Overall I was very pleased.

I also recently bought a turn signal stalk and headlight switch for the e12 from philipj. He was easy to work with, packed it well, and shipped it fast. I'd defiantly buy from him again.

And finally I bought from south26. He already has a great reputation, but felt it worth mentioning again. I bought an oil level sender from him and had a good translation with him. Would buy from him again.

Thanks guys!

I've had some great transactions of late with the following individuals:

Gooch - Bought his 87 535i, great guy to do business with! Genuine fellow that is a genuine enthusiast!

JW in VaBeach - Thanks for the great Colgan hood bra! I wish you all the best.
sbyrne - Thanks for a great part (059 ecu) at a bargain price!
steve 87 535is - Thanks for a really good M Tech 1 steering wheel!
kojo96 - Thanks for the really nice BMW E30 and E28 tools!

All parts were promptly shipped, properly packaged, and arrived without damage. Thanks again, guys. "No ragrets" joining this board and participating in this community. Some great people here! I look forward to meeting some of you at next year's Vintage.

I do appreciate the heads up man. glad everything got there in one piece w/out exploding. I can't imagine the result if a can did blow up in a government mail truck. That was sketchy hahah.

I want to commend PDX5 for his tremendous help in delivering a transmission to my friend's house so we could complete our transaction before he took off to travel. I was prepared to wait for his return if needed, but he loaded up an AT on a 100 degree day for me.

So yeah, I recommend. I also demerit myself some points for waiting until the last minute to try to buy it from him. :?

Long overdue, but south26 came thru with a whole 5 speed e28 swap for me last year. Installed middle of this year, the trans is quiet and all the parts Andy mentioned that he thought were questionable was a spot on assessment. Also has excellent understanding of the parts he is selling. Went out of his way to save money on shipping, and aside from how long the removal, packing and shipping process took, I was never concerned that he would come thru on this deal. Thanks again ++++1
