I got a call today from the main office saying there was some guy there with a subpena for me and he wanted to know where to put it.
Those were the exact words used.
I said I could think of a few places, but then told her to just have him leave it there and I'd pick it up in a few minutes when I had a meeting over there. But talk about leaving the door open for a one liner comeback...

I found out the pH level of Dr Pepper today. Oh. One of the highest behind plain jane Coca Cola. Hummm.

In honor of the hottest day so far this summer I had some hot chocolate. yum.
Cold front blows through Saturday. And all the winter clothes are packed away.

Really, I would have thought with what coke does to electronics it would have been acid, not base. I've seen it just flat out disolve old plate recitifiers.

Numbers?

Coca Cola: ~ 2.5
Dr Pepper ~ 2.8
0-7= acid
7 = neutral
Up to 14 = base.
Anything 2 or below (or 12 and above) is considered 'corrosive' and is treated as Haz Waste

I've been watching episodes of Breaking Bad on Netflix (just started season 3; so exciting!) and am puzzled by how many people in the show are seen wearing sweaters, jackets and winter caps. The story takes place in Albuquerque, New Mexico, and I know it gets cool there in the winter, but the episodes I've seen span more than just a winter. Plot hole or accurate depiction of real life?

That means its less-acidic than Coke. Not by much, though.

First, oldskool: Everyone has an off day here and there but I was really hoping you'd pull out the stops for p.69.

Second, we got an inch of rain this evening. Not that you could tell afterward except for this:

R.I.P. Windtunnel
It was the end of an era this evening with the last episode of Windtunnel hosted by Dave Despain.

Well, I guess it's time. Looks like I'll be closing up shop in Afghanistan personally.

They asked and I accepted. Really, I should just throw in the towel and admit defeat on my career, but I just don't tick like that. I still hold out hope that I can be promoted and stay till 30. Otherwise, I've done everything I've needed to do BUT make myself eligible for the VFW. I've got my reasons.
I may miss Christmas.

I wondered about that also. This deserves its own thread I think.

Do you know what location you are headed to yet? My brother in law just got briefed on his deployment coming up in January. He's also going to Afghanistan. This will be his second trip there, 3rd overall.
Thanks for your service Adam! None of us could bitch about mundane shit on these forums without you fighting for our freedom!

I was picking up a freshly repaired trailer in the industrial park today when "Pete" jumped out of some bushes and wandered over to play 20 questions.
Pete was obviously one of God's special children with Down's syndrome and I answered all of his questions thoughtfully.
Pete's last question upon leaving was . . ."hug"? So, there we were, two very sweaty grown men having a nice hug in the middle of an industrial park parking lot. Thanks Pete.

So, I ran up to Publix to get something to make for dinner and as I am pulling up I notice a girl getting out of a bright yellow 90's Mustang.
She got out and she had bright yellow highlights in her hair that matched the color of her car. She was latina and had dark brown hair naturally.
Wonder if this is a new trend, highlight your hair to match the color of your car?!!
