The V6 Ranger ix has arrived. Photos to come - the uploader doesn't appear to be iOS friendly. On his first Kokanee.Son of a wrote:Dad left here just after sunrise. He's headed west to Syracuse, then north, crossing the border at Ogdensburg, making a stop on the northeast approach to Toronto, before getting to Mississauga. I just hope he (or someone on his behalf) remembers to post in this thread once he's at Tedfest.
You guys making the trip cannot wait to see the rig he's got with him. Not what you're expecting. Definitely has the right badge, and a BMW driveline to boot.

Made it to Kalamazoo. Got 17 MPG!........ and the car ran perfect. Did not demonstrate any of the rich bucking issue. You got me, no idea????????
600 more miles tomorrow.
Will drop the primary jets a size are two tonight as I was running 12.5-13 at cruise. Want to see 13-14 AFRs.
Kickin back with the cruise control on......its a dry heat for sure.

We made it back around 4pm. Smooth sailing other than my left arm is a bit sun burned
Thanks again Ted for putting this all together. My voice is sore from all the good chatter. Looking forward to next year.
I think Adam was checking the time on his fancy watch about every 10minutes on the way home.
I didn't take any pictures of my own car.....excited to what other ppl took photos of.

I know I'm a little late to the party here with comments and updates, seeing as I have already arrived back home from TedFest about an hour ago (9 hour drive) and I didn't provide any input before leaving, or while in transit, or while at TedFest, but I do have a good excuse
Screwed up my back on Wednesday morning, spent the next 30 hours on and off the ice draped across an ottoman, had lots of drugs, and, despite telling Ted I probably wasn't going to make it, things felt well enough to drive on Friday morning ... and those good drugs did take the edge off So, long story short I made it... driving the e61 Touring (nice and comfy!!)
Anyway, I wasn't much help to Ted and the team, and spent most of the time sitting in a chair... but, Tedfest was a outstanding event... record number of cars and attendees!! Congrats and thanks to Ted, his family, and those sponsors, and "locals" (you know who you are ) that made it such a special weekend. Great people, great cars, beautiful venue, nice prizes, good food, lots of beer... but the stories, discussions, comradeship, meeting lots of old friends, new friends, etc. was extraordinary!!
Thanks Ted and it was great seeing everyone... next year I'll even bring a car worthy of putting on the field

P.S. Hope you have a safe and trouble-free 2nd day of driving Duke.... the Tiger looked and sounded terrific! And, to all my Canadian friends... you guys are the best!!

Dad's here at his midway point, and has been since about 9.
Would've been in earlier, but he blew out the rear driveshaft u-joint and felt compelled to limp it in the final 7-8 miles to my place. He'll be under way tomorrow in 4W-high, sticking to A-roads and below. Front-wheel driving the Ranger with most of an M30 driveline in the back should be a good time.
He has nothing but good things to say about Tedfest. I'm sure he'll chime later when he finally gets in tomorrow for real.

Where there's a will, there's a way.
Sounds like tedfest keeps getting better!
I wish I could have made it this year, especially since Duke was there but it wasnt in the cards.
