Changed out my rotting muffler for a Magnaflow 10435. Also washed it in preparation for a second coat of roll on boat paint.... Providing the weather cooperates tomorrow.

Rolled on a second coat of Interlux Brightside paint. This coat didn't lay down as well... body was to warm so it started to dry quicker.... oh well such is the life of a $500 beater.

Can you maybe send me a video of the throw of the shifter? I want to see how short the AA one is.

Guess I should really make an intro thread soon, but this'll work for a start.
My recently acquired 535i had a bit of the rod knock, so I figured there was no harm in just throwing in some rod bearings before getting too crazy (read=expensive).
Well, #1 and #6 were pretty bad, but absolutely no scoring of the crank. After she was fired up, no more noise! (Hopefully it'll stay that way for a while)
I was pretty happy, mainly because it was a 10 hour torture fest on my back. If that pan ever has to come off again, I swear the engine's just gonna come out!
Now I can actually start driving this thing (instead of just cleaning the interior and looking at it longingly) and sort out any more problems that arise. And they will. We bought my wife an '03 325Ci, so I'm getting to know BMW's

Ordered new brake tubing.
Then realized I ordered the wrong ( non-abs) part.
Then got the right # and ordered it from Blunt.
Word. I may have this thing going sooner than I thought....if a streak of lazy doesn't hit me again.

I painted my turn signals red, not done yet but I also polished all of the bumper and grill plastic. Sometime this week I will most likely painting the high beams yellow and sometime soon I'll be going for black trim and bezels...

Took my spare exhaust and cut the downpipe off in preparation for headers. Aiming to get them on before Vintage so I can show off my dented old delphin.
