Changed the parcel shelf to one that's correct for the sport rear seats. Discovered a long lost collectable, and very rare Camel zippo under it. The same one I lost 2 years ago, on the day I bought it. Over the moon!

Tip for the day: Pull your rear seat more often.

Retarded my camshaft timing, after advancing it the other day
(which after doing the car was slower).

Car now feels better, has stronger top end power, and after reviewing my datalogger this was confirmed. :)

Will probably try retarding it a little more tomorrow and compare data to see if i can gain even more at the top end.

Completed my E34 seat installation, well the fronts anyway the rear seat is still in Cape Cod :?

Not quite as easy as it looked but not rocket science either. I'll do a write up and post pictures soon.

attempted to fix my power locks. removed all the door cards and greased all the linkages before starting. installed one CLCU and tried the drivers door, nothing.

tried a second CLCU with the same results. One had the auto unlock intact and I resoldered the other.

going to beep out the wiring harness next.

Removed PVC pipe holding up passenger side window so my nephew could breath on the way to shoot a round of golf.
The questioning about airbags, age and safety were endless and he has never seen a 5 speed but then he's only 12.
I barked a few gears for him and let him drive the cart all day. I'd like to think I'm a good influence

Put in a new temperature sending unit, a new coolant level sensor and changed the oil as he's now on standby to take me to 5erFest in Pittsburgh.

I still need to do the odo gears though. They're in the glovebox in case someone wants to assist me in the changing them this weekend. It still works when it wants to but thankfully we don't have a TSD this weekend...

Pulled 528i out of its hole and swapped the wheels with 535is. Put 528i back in its hole. :(

Fueled up 535is and checked fluids and tire pressures. It's ready for a clean-up in the morning (not that it'll help much  ), and to hit the road in the afternoon. Destination--Pittsburgh!

Yesterday, I've been noticing underneath the battery a bit of paint being removed by an unknown source, removed battery cleaned and painted the tray. Painted the battery hold down rod and plate. Cleaned K&N, and battery terminals cleaned up wiring to my amp, patched my battery with epoxy as there was a leak in the top of it!

Started it for the first time since I bought it. I wasn't running when I got it and I had no money to work on it, so I just sat it in the garage. I finally got some cash for parts so I charged up the battery and put some gas in it. To my surprise, it fired right up!!! It was really good to hear it run. Can't wait to get started.

Fucking fixed it.

....that's the short version.

Now for the long:

Since April the car has been down. Though the brake bomb went out, so I swapped it with a known good one off my parts car.

No dice.

So, then I decide the master cylinder took a dump.

I nab the one from the parts car, no problemo. I go to remove the one on the runner, and the fucking flare nut gets rounded off, so I clip the line. I then tried to splice a new bubble flare ended part into the line, but it leaked like a mother when I bled the brakes.

I then order a whole solid tube from steve at blunttech. (Awesome seller, BTW!) IT sat around for about a month.

So, today, the triple digit temp day, I got off work, and for some reason decided to fix it. I finally managed to run the line and get it hooked up. Looks like ass, but it works. Bled the brakes and tested it out.

Oh my god! That B35 fucking flies compared to the shitty M20 e30s I've been tottling around in lately!

Then, the killer.....I realized my tags are still valid, until December! Inspection is dead, but I work at a station, so whatever. Slap some insurance on it and roll! Fuck yeahhhh!

So, my crummy day streak has (kinda) been broken. Now to move on to the e46 and it's leaky oil leaks.
