Bummer. Hate to say it, but medical issues have sidelined us once again. Dad's wife, Barb has been diagnosed with breast cancer, so we will be focused on that for a while. Thankfully we live 75 miles from Mayo Clinic, and they will attack it with the best and brightest around. So the "support vehicle" will be providing support elsewhere for a while.
I may try to arrange a solo run to RTT Halloween Edition, if things fall into place. In any case, have fun and hoist a Modelo for me.

Okay, I have a big heavy box for Sherman, some bits for Clint, and an elevated air mattress. Any other weird shit that I'm forgetting?

I realize this kind of last minute, but if anybody has a srs light reset tool for a m50 e34 it would be greatly appreciated if you could bring it this weekend.

Yesterday was crazy . Way too much fail and drama getting out of town. But the closer we were to TexFest home base the better the trip became.
We finally arrived around nine after a gorgeous sunset annd then a litte rain. Met breifly with some of the group under the pavilion. Then back to the cabin and I was out cold.
Need to get the phone mount figured out and we were having charger issues yesterday so need to get that worked out. I promise pics and vids.
The work put into this event is already obvious. Hats off to Sherman and his compadres and sponsors.

Everyone, I think, arrived yesterday and last night that was supposed to, though several not as planned. It seems as though this year there was much more resistance to pulling this thing off than normal. In spite of that it's gonna be a great weekend.
We do have some great sponsors, more on that later,
0800 wake-up call for the troops.

Bummer indeed. Hope things go well for Barb; be strong for them.
I too am sidelined for a few reasons, medical issues included. Mebbee one of these first days we'll get a Northern-Midwest-Fest or something or other cooked up!
Allow me to be the first to say...

Things have been a blast! Heck my TCD turbo tipped over a few cows down here in Texas. On a side note, I know the moto is "don't mess with Texas". This weekend it was Don't mess with Nebraska!
Sorry to all that couldn't make it, next year will be a much of a blast.

Must have missed you yesterday. But I wasn't running in the tight pack up front either. I did enough to convince myself the E39 can dance with her older lighter sisters so I was happy. Then the competitive crowd made Cindy balk a little so I dialed it back a bit. Sounds like I wussed out. LOL. When is the statute of limitations up for these videos and how do you delete the voice track?
Glad everyone made it and hope to see y'all again next year.

What a great time

I am Nick, the guy in the Red 1974 2002. I want to thank everyone for being so kind and fun. You guys allowed me to piggy back on your clubs event. Had a GREAT time. By far the quickest drive I have ever been on.
On yesterdays drive after lunch we hit the Three Sisters. About 3/4ths of the way through I noticed my car started to under steer. Not sure why but had a few pucker moments. So today driving like a normal person I noticed my front left tire would rub when I hit bumps...has never ever rubbed before. So I get out and push down on the fender Blew that Bilstein HD out.So new set for front coming this week.
My daughter and I left at about 7 this AM. I have never seen so many damn deer. We had to lock them up 3 times. We saw well over 50 deer on the way but every once in a while you get this dipshit deer that freaks out and swaps directions.
Thanks again expecially to Sherman, Clinton, Povl (sp), Nick and all the others.

djazz, I had my 1974 2002 driving at full max with that front group. Hardest I have ever pushed it and I have to say I was a bit impressed with her....Next year I am riding with the back pack....I blew a front strut on that last run and it was a bit scary to say the least

It tipped more than a few cows! After trying to keep up with LJ, I convinced him to take me for a ride in the cowtipper! What a beast!

You are a dangerous man, sir - sleeping right above the heater in the room and not putting it on lol
I was so much fun to see you again!

Nick, it was great to meet you. Don't think that the back of the pack was any slower. I was next to last, trying like hell to keep up with LJ! Pretty certain I hit the highest speed I've ever logged in my E34. Ever.

I was right below the heater. And there was no need to use it anyway.
Thanks for putting me up last night!
