Well that's good, because I lost the tracking receipt :) Merry Xmas!

I am happy it made it! The horse-and-sleigh postal ride across the U.P. can be treacherous this time of year. :D

I've got a couple of hours left here in Hawaii before there's no chance another mail truck will show. I guess I'll just be sad on Christmas. Sigh.

All this experiment does is show how much USPS sucks at delivering packages when they say they will.

I've received nothing as well.

Well, since I haven't seen a response from who I was selected to send a box to, I decided to look for my receipt. I found it  .
Then tracked it

With one notable exception, they've treated me pretty well (knocks on wood.) Mailing anything around Christmas increases the chances of a problem coming up though. Maybe next time we'll do it a little earlier. Maybe a Thanksmas edition?

I gave my office address, as I'm there more than home. I expected the box on Friday, but nothing.

I was out of the office on Monday, and we apparently closed the office during lunch, and missed the mail lady. :bawl:

Our office was closed today, and I tried to track her down, but I couldn't find her in the neighborhood. :(

Try again on Thursday. *sigh*

Sorry man, at least this will give you a reason to go to work tomorrow. It will be worth the wait though, I think. Merry Christmas.

Any assistance in securing an E34 could be provided :)

Merry Christmas, Roy... and everybody else too! I am eagerly waiting for my box.

Thanks for putting this together, Dave!

My youngest is 20 now so Christmas morning is all about...ME :D

I finally was able to open my PBE package from Duke. :alright: Eggnog in hand I cautiously approached and moved the box out from under the tree. It is quite heavy and creates a deep audible tone indicating their may be parts or shards in movement. Carefully and in anticipation, I unsealed the box as designed then, with it lying on the floor right side up, allowed the closure to open. I squealed in glee as the contents poured out; sugary treats in vibrant shiny wrappers, multi-colored golf balls, exotic literature, fabrics and delectables from the far east issued forth to my delight.
Image
This PBE box clearly received considerable thought and time as the contents were obviously gathered from around the globe. The eclectic nature of its treasures indicate the enlightenment of its creator - engineer, athlete, collector, connossieur and gourmet.

I am humbled and appreciative, Duke, and will put it all to good use and enjoyment.

Let's take a closer look:
Yum :)
Image
Hmmm, let's take an even closer look, these are some pretty rare edible treats, silkworm chrysalis and dried squid! We'll put getrecipes.com to work on these ingredients.
Image
-The eye of the tiger silk scarf. I can see the link there. :alright:
-XXL Warrior sleep shirt
- Megateeth Fossil Hunters SWAG from Georgia  We'll need a back story there, Duke, but for the record I have some megalodon teeth from my Scouting days and we periodically search out teeth and fossils along the banks of the Potomac, Rappahannock and Chesapeake.
Image
-Oct 2013 Sports & Exotic Car magazine from Hemmings. I'll now fix another nog and peruse the offerings.
I dig the "Camp Red Cloud Golf Club" logo ball. I'll look through for the ProV1 and distance balls.

Thanks, Duke, it is a fun PBE box filled with the promise of learning, golf and camaraderie.

Going to be preparing a beef tenderloin for the evening meal outside today. Maybe I'll take my box and those balls out there with my Lob wedge and get in some practice while the rotisserie does the work.  May God Bless you and all the MyE28'rs today, a day for celebration of good living for all mankind.

Opened my box box from Max this morning. I felt like Jason Bourne or some other secret agent: it contained a mini laptop computer (my tech savvy kids tell me it's a "netbook"), a German made gas mask and a bottle of blue chalkline chalk. I powered up the computer and it works great! Max had left me a post it note with the passwords to get into it. I am convinced it contains some files that give me the mission that I need to complete that will require the use of a gas mask and blue chalkline chalk. A very cool box! I am typing this post on the very computer that I received from Max this morning, how cool is that! I have an ipad that I usually use but there are times when I have to borrow one of my kids laptops to order parts from websites that aren't too ipad friendly. Thanks Max and Merry Christmas to all!Image[/img]
