Dropped Snob off at the daughters, her hubby needs a DD while his Tahoe gets repaired.
He's already told me he really likes the E28 look. :D

Finally got my 533 inspected and approved for active duty after bursting a power steering hose in the parking lot of the inspection station...oh well, you win some and lose some.

Sorted out a minor anti-locking brake sensor issue. New tires will top it all off (prolly in the Spring with Continental ExtremeContact DW).

Tucked/wrapped wires last night.

Stole the engine by gasket from the parts car, gave it a little bath in PB blaster and installed it. (Car never had this gasket in all my years of ownership, since 2007.)

Vacuumed all the leaves out of the blower motor.

Lift going in next week, then exhaust going on!!

Finally convinced dad that the barn needed a lift, and in doing so, indentured myself to work on his cars when they needed it.

Anywho, it's been about 8 months since we ordered it, and we're just getting to putting it up. Customs/shipping/bullshit held it up.

We had to cut our floor and dig down about 5 inches to pour new pads for the lift, 4'x4'x8". Concrete is finally cured (28 days-ish) and we're looking to get the posts up next week. (Would be this weekend but it's the superbowl, ya dig?)

Buttt....it's going to be amazing. Gravel driveway working under cars outside is so over rated.

Mounted the locking gutter feet so I don't have to worry about $600 worth of roof rack gear walking away.......

Replaced the leaking rear cam housing gasket and double checked the valve lash on the S38. Tightened all the clamps, checked p/s pump bolts, and replaced the short rubber hoses for the p/s cooling loop. Replaced taillight gaskets and license plate light seals. Replaced the leaking detent spring cover on my G280. Replaced the toasted 23 year old diff mount. Changed the oil and filter. Beat the snot out of it on Mulholland.

I replaced the rear struts last night.
I did a valve adjustment this morning.
I used the go/don't go method on the cam side. Much easier.
I could feel the adjustment in the seat.

Full wash and wax last night followed up by a short trip to the speedo shop today to get the odometer working again. Going to be nice to be able to count my mileage now!

Don't know how that's gonna help in counting your mileage, unless you only go one mile.

Sorry; couldn't resist. ;)

It took a while and some careful biometric calculations, but much like Hayduke could count distance by six packs consumed in "the Monkey Wrench Gang," I just tie my Speedo real tight and can determine distance by how numb my nether regions are.

Changed all vacuum hoses, plugs, in tank fuel pump, trunk seal, fixed a few leaks, tightened a few things and swapped out the NiCad's in the cluster. All in all a productive Saturday
